Re: Rep Squads and Awards

Interesting that the SEN website has a list of the Samoan players and YT is included with a warriors logo. It's probably a mistake or is there something we haven't heard yet?

Re: 2024 - How are we shaping up?

Let’s say for arguments sake the locked up spots are 1. Papenhuyzen 2. Coates 3. 4. 5. Warbrick 6. Munster 7. Hughes 8. Asofa-Solomona 9. Grant 10. 11. Katoa 12. 13. King 14. 15. 16. 17. What are the options? 2 centre spots to share between - Reimis Smith - Justin Olam - Kane Bradley - Marion Seve ...

Re: 2024 - How are we shaping up?

Keep an eye on Kane Bradley - he is big, but lacks confidence. He could be a standout next season if he gets the right coaching. Re Sua, agree with his defence. He could be better than Reese Walsh if he learns how to defend. His field positioning lacks polish. Sheet_ed I agree re: Kane Bradley. Cou...

Re: 2024 - How are we shaping up?

Although there is a lot of love for Sua for his attack, I still think there are the issues are his defence and his size. He's do doubt faster than someone like To'o , he's much lighter and more of a target. This said and presuming Paps stays on the field, Imho the only place he could slot in is as t...

Re: Official thread and signing news

Not sure I agree with 'superstar spine'. Some serious question marks over at least 3/4 of the spine IMO. Although I agree with you that they didn't play their best, the Storm sspine consists of the Australian Hooker, Australain number six and New Zealand Half . How much the knee injury affected Mun...

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

On a just slightly different topic, the Melbourne Storm fans facebook site have a somewhat differnet slant on the Panthers fiasco . My favourite WTF moment was a post claiming that dropping Olam would be a racist act!

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

Don't have a crack at the refs. Please. Stay classy. Nope, Gee was ordinary. Panthers got away with heaps that we got penalized for. Didn't cost us the game, but certainly put us on the back foot. Gee has always been ordinary towards us since at least the Brandon Smith call. Yes you can say the Pen...

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

Amazing amount of publicity calling our pack "Soft" or "Pop Gun" and weak. You would have to expect some sort of response from this or careers are over

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

I still get annoyed over team lists more than I should be. Why has Garlick gone from bench utility to starter to now on the extended bench? Ughh...sorry. I think he doesn't want to drop Wishart after he really stepped up but we need Garlick to start for mine If CB is going to do the leave Grant off...

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

I was watching some old matches and the common element when we we won was that the pack gave Grant enough time to work from the base of the ruck. So if the pack can stand up to Penrtih and give the ball players some space to drive the Panthers back five backwards, the there's definitely a possibilit...

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

The whole short kick thing from the goal line has not been very succesful for some time. I'm not real sure why they continue with it as I think it's very rarely worked. I could be mistaken but I thought there was one kick in that went well over the half way line.

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium

I can't beleive how depressing it is to have so little faith that the team will be successful on Friday.

I 've followed Storm since the first game at the Graveyard and can't remeber ever being so depressed before a game . I'm thinking the the best outcome will be if we are at least competitive.

The line of the night as far as I'm concerned was calling William Warbrick "The Brick with Tries"
