Re: Official thread and signing news

Rumours from Corey Parker on FOX that Jahrome Hughes wants out of his contract to return to Queensland for family reasons. Not sure how true this is he didn’t even state his source or anything, hopefully just the media being bored again.

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

I mean we rarely use that 14 player anyway, if Wishart gets on it’s usually for the last 10 minutes or so, we don’t really lose anything carrying Sua there, maybe he could just be a weapon against a tiring team. Our current forward rotation seems to be fit enough to handle the 80 minutes with just 3...

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

The Roosters fans are actually complaining about Klein like they got dudded by him, must have been watching a different game to me ::)

Anyone else watching the postgame show on 9? Pretty sure Welchy is half cut already, sounds like he is a dozen beers deep haha!

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

Also how good has Shawn Blore been? Really really impressing me, another week with over 100m, 30 tackles no misses no errors. CB will be loving him.

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

We love a close game this year don’t we, the boys whilst not polished are certainly gritty and hang tough for long periods, the timing and attack will come eventually if we play with that kind of grit every week we are always a chance.

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

If Andrew Voss isn’t sacked after tonight I give up, he obviously has money on Easts it’s so pathetic how much he is riding them home.

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

We’ve done a good job on Manu & Suaalli, I’ve been really impressed with that edge this year, Blore Smith and Coates have all been very good defensively.

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

Some pretty average football, I don’t know how we are in front. Munster has been off looks very tentative, the right edge has been struggling again, and the errors and discipline have been a problem too. Paps looks devoid of any confidence for some reason, that bombed try was just perplexing not sur...

Or the 3 passes on 2 block runners we do on every penalty restart and end making 0 metres each time we do it, boggles my mind.

Nice finish there from Katoa lot of strength to get that one down.

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

Kane Bradley, Jonah Pezet and Chris Lewis cut from the squad.

Grant Anderson and Jack Howarth remain.

Anderson has been killing it in QLD Cup, weird to carry a centre/winger as 18th man, is there some chance of a late change with the form of Meaney/Warbrick?

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

Agreed, I’m all for less minutes for Harry to make him more effective. If that’s one of Bronson, Tyran or possibly Sua taking that burden is up to CB, I guess of the 3 it depends which way you want to play it, obviously Bronson is built for that first 20, Sua would be useless at 9 early, Wishart doe...

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

Second week in a row I've wondered why nrl.com have put up an early preview for a game :-? The push for Garlick is a bit weird to me tbh. He hasn't done enough to warrant pushing him for a spot. I think there are benefits to playing Harry less and maybe that's why it was "effective" when ...

Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

I don't see Wishart getting dropped. He covers the halves too in case Munster goes down and he's played well this year. Very possible, Tyran has been solid when called upon, I just think last season we saw Craig used Bronson for the majority of games in that utility role, and as mentioned in anothe...
