Re: Grand Final - Storm v Panthers
I have always put my footy tips in based upon the bookies, this results in me being 1-3 in most tipping comps. My belief is that bookies know more than us mortals as they generally have punters with inside knowledge betting heavily on a game. My point / question is "Why are the Storm favourites...

Re: Grand Final - Storm v Panthers
I replayed the Cleary "my shoulder hurts" incident in last weeks game and I honestly believe he is faking it. It occurs when the game is truly over and right in front of the cameras. The storm should not believe that he is not 99% fit. That shoulder is to draw attention to try and hurt him...

Re: Prelim Final
With the size of the Panthers pack Lazarus Vaalepu needs to be added - he is big and fast. He had extra legs when he played last and will need to be there. He played 41 minutes against the Cows and did a LOT of work. Love to see Sua but the Panthers are big hitters - Fisher-Harris and Leota are thei...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks
Can I give a shout-out to Nick Meaney - he copped SO MUCH CRAP in the beginning of the year but he has helped Warbrick become an elite player. His defence as a centre has grown in the past few months and is more than capable of breaking the line. Re Paps - ignore the face that his speed has come off...

Re: Official thread and signing news
Can't wait to see Blore, Utoikamanu, Katoa, Loiero, Tui and Nelson running through the other teams defence lines. Talk about BASH Bros. Utoikamanu must have something that Craig and Frank see in him to pursue him with such vigor. He is one of the more "high profile" signings for us as we u...

Re: Round 22 - Storm vs Dragons
Welch is a great player with a fantasic off load - if he has an injury that will prohibit him from playing finals, the Storm will keep him back. Re moving him on, how many First Grade front rowers of quality hit the market. If we sign Utoikamanu we many need salary cap, but we dont have a bulging ro...

Re: Official thread and signing news
Super League has a quota on Overseas players. as well as a cut-off time. I think Remis's manager believes an unencumbered player is a good sell to Super league.

Re: Round 21 Eels v Storm
Got to give a shout out to Jack Howarth - Will Penisini has carved us up in the past - he was well out played.
Howarth would have to smoke crack on the field to loose his spot for the rest of the year.
The defence was excellent last nigh - cannot wait for Storm Vs Panthers - THE ACID TEST

Re: Round 21 Eels v Storm
Ryles will be coaching from the background and Parra players are playing for their contracts/lives. We should win, but expect a harder game than we anticipate. Never underestimate people when rumors swirl about that they may be chopped. We can play 2 smaller guys off the bench as Howarth can switch ...

Re: Official thread and signing news
NAS wants to go play Rugby in Japan - he was close to Juzzy and when he was shifted to the Tigers, NAS seemed to loose heart. He is 28 and not the premier player he wanted to be. Sad to lose him but we are building a new roster.

Re: Official thread and signing news
Congrats to Ryles - really sad to lose him. As an EX Eels supporter - the club is a rats nest of "old boys' who are known to interfere in what should be coaches decisions, he will need to contend with that. This is why they play finals one year and suck on the wooden spoon the next. Questions a...

Re: Round 16 - Dolphins vs Storm
Jack Howarth showed why there was such an investment in him, I just need to send hime some gorrilla glue to stop being stripped of the ball. The coaches are going to go hard at him on ball stripping - he had a target on him regarding this. The look on his face at the end of the game showed that he k...

Re: Round 15 vs Warriors
Kudos to our subs and bench - they made a BIG differnce - Anderson is playing above Warbrick (and could be the reason we haven'dt resigned Remis) , Howarth has the best showing I have seen from him (1st grade all over him) very handy player. Chan is a great sub for McDonald. We have for the first ti...

Re: Round 15 vs Warriors
Interesting subs Kane Bradley and Howarth, both can play forward and backs - suspect a late switch in the backline.
RTS will be a "surprise" inclusion for the Warriors.
This one is going to be tough...
