Re: Official thread and signing news
Needs to make salary / playing room for Keagan Russell-Smith and Pezet.
Sorry to see him go as he has turned his life around, but the only (half) game he played he was run over by the oposition. At 28 and a half back he missed his oportunity.

Re: 2023, The post mortem
For reference - I said that jason Taylor (current Bears coach) would help add input to out team - he is off to be assistant coach at the Bulldogs. There are 3 players that could add depth to the Storm from the Bears: Toa Mata'afa Centre https://www.nswrl.com.au/players/nsw-cup/north-sydney-bears/toa...

Re: 2023, The post mortem
To me Sua needs to be in a spine position. He is small, and as yet, not a great defender. His electric acceleration needs to be placed where it can do some damage to tired forwards. I would play him off the bench for 2 x 20 minute stints. We need to acquire/develop a player like Isaah Yeo. He IS the...

Re: 2023, The post mortem
Fairly accurate. I, like most people, am awaiting what is happening re recruitment. I also felt our leadership seemed confused on the field - Munster and Hughes seemed as though they didn't know who was leading an attacking raid. Lot of work to do in the off season. It will be VERY interesting the i...

We need some salary space to get some agressive forwards.

Re: Preliminary Final vs Panthers @ Accor Stadium
I agree with prior comments that we were not good enough to be in the GF. I always say - "Better to lose a semi final than a Grand Final" - those ones REALY REALY HURT. The hope for next year is the return of Jason Ryles - he is a very good defensive coach. If we can REALYY build up the fo...

If Munster (who has been very ORDINARY lately) doesn't fire on Friday - we are cooked.

Re: Who is no be kept from the 2023 squad
Jayden is marked as part of the Storm squad - although he only played (I think 1 game) he is under the Storm's cap.Well shows how much you know cause Jayden hasn’t been with the tigers all year so no idea why you would write that

Who is no be kept from the 2023 squad
These players are off contract, who would you keep or discard Grant Anderson - KEEP Jordan Grant - KEEP Dean Ieremia - DISCARD George Jennings - KEEP Tepai Moeroa - KEEP Jayden Nikorima - KEEP AT TIGERS Tariq Sims - DISCARD Young Tonumaipea- DISCARD Tom Eisenhuth - DISCARD - but would break my heart...

Re: Finals Week 1 vs Broncos - 2nd Qualifying Final - Suncorp Stadium
I kept looking at the team and thinking we need an extra Zip at the beginning. I have NOT been a fan of Wishart playing as an outside back, but he was stunning last week as a hooker. I really think Garlic has been solid, but I would prefer to start wishart as No. 9 and have Harry on the bench.

Re: Finals Week 1 vs Broncos - 2nd Qualifying Final - Suncorp Stadium
I think the benefit of being in Melbourne is we are out of the bubble. I was listening to Reese Walsh and he is so pumped up with his own ego you just want NAS to slap him (what an aggravating little SNOT). Everywhere they go the Bisbane faithfull will be pumping their ego's. As a result they will b...

Re: Round 27 - Rest and Blood players
OK , how good were the following (excluding Sua and Paps). They don't get the accolade that they desrve, but they stood up last night under the spotlight of a VERY parochial crowd: Grant Anderson Tepai Moeroa Tariq Sims Tyran Wishart Jayden Nikorima The other 2 debutants Joe Chan and Jack Howarth pl...

Who is your 2nd Team after Storm in 2023
I, logically, want the Storm to win, but wow wouldn't it be amazing if the Wah's did it - they have been so much and they have surprised everyone.
It would boost NRL in NZ while the All Blacks seemed to have faltered (I hope) and Union has become a synonymous with boring.

Round 27 - Rest and Blood players
Regardless of any result we should rest players and blood players ready for the semi's Munster, Grant, Hughes, Meaney as well as a number of forwards - should be rested. Great time to bring in players that have yet to play first grade this year and let them fight for a spot in the semi's. My fear is...

Re: Payne Haas
I personally think it's a ploy to make Brisbane pay throught the nose to retain Haas. He isn't moving, but if we can make them eat their salary cap up and relase players, fine with me.
We have Lazarus Vaalepu (120 kg) coming into the squad next year - so it will add some more weight to the pack.
