Re: Round 7 vs Sydney Roosters

Geez Robinson is sore loser....highlights NAS pushing Eli for about 1 nano second....and says it shouldn't have been a try and then moans about Reimis begin a disruptor on Xav's try...and also say no try. But doesn't mention the poor referring that failed to pick up Jennings losing the ball before ...

Re: Round 6 vs Bulldogs

Let’s first see how NAS goes this weekend. The spot obviously has opened up for him, but Craig will not put him in unless he performs well for the Bears. Blokes such as Howarth and Joe Chan should also be aiming for big games, given the chance of a change in the back row ( based on form) . Alas Tig...

Re: Round 6 vs Bulldogs

With Jonah dropping out, clearly the club thinks Munster is good to go ( though query how close he is to 100%).

Re: Official thread and signing news

Great reward for a totally dependable , very likeable clubman. With all the big spending that the Bulldogs have undertaken ( including on some blokes who were duds), it is staggering that they let Nick go. I am sure if he had received the encouragement from the Bulldogs that Craig and our staff have...

Re: Queensland Cup/NSW cup

If the play-by-play information on the QRL website is correct, Joe Chan played the full 80, which is a good sign. That left -side spot in the second row is very open at this stage . Shawn Blore can’t seem to get the full 80 minutes, whereas Joe can. Will Craig give Shawn and Munster another chance t...

Re: Round 5 vs Broncos

Well it was very clunky , but I am taking the glass-half-full view. 1. We won. 2. Paps has now played four games in a row: confidence must be growing. 3. First time we have had our best 1,6,7 and 9 together for a long time. 4. Jack Howarth - could this finally be the start of something? 5. We overca...

Re: Official Injury Updates Thread

That was an encouraging report from Frank - less doom and gloom re Munster than some pundits had suggested. If he is back and firing after the bye that would be excellent. In the interim, get a few more games into Jonah. Well, another positive report from Frank P on the club website this week, sugg...

Re: Round 1 vs Panthers @ AAMI Park

An immensely important win. Without Munster and NAS, up against a triple premiership juggernaut. After 22 years the great coach still knows how to get the players up for round 1, and after 22 years the players still lift for him. The last time we played a match that counted, this mob embarrassed us....

Re: Trials 2024

I agree with Sallymay - we have a shocking record in preseason games. Craig’s record shows that he times us beautifully to peak in round 1. It will be very interesting to see the makeup of the outside backs in the next trial game. I had figured Warbrick and Coates on the wings, Meaney as one centre ...

Re: Leadership group

In Craig’s recent interview with Brent Read ( an excellent journalist who gives us a fair go, in my opinion), he said there needed to be leadership improvements both on and off the field. As to on-field, he could of course mean that he expects a different approach from the encumbents, but I suspect ...

Re: Official thread and signing news

A sensible trade by both clubs ( both of whom also showed a lot of common sense with the Grant/Momirovski temporary trade a few years ago. Many thanks to Justin for his service , and best wishes at Tigers. We really needed a second rower to partner Eli, and let’s hope Shawn is the answer. I already ...
