Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
There was some dreadful refereeing in this game, not enough to blame but still some terrible calls. Two Storm shoulders in to a chest and a penalty awarded for a high shot. The non call on Trent in the second half as alluded to above The double movement (Warriors fan in front of me couldn't believe ...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
I also am sure that once our players get a bit of a reputation (Trent) that refs will blow a penalty on suspicion rather than evidence. There was one in particular for a high shot. The double movement try still confuses me And there was an occasion in the second half when the Wahs laid all over Tre...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
A lot of focus on defence (or lack of it) and justified totally. What's not being mentioned is our playing style, therefore the coaching. One out running, ALL THE TIME, is sooo easy to get the numbers in to and stop, dominantly, we get dominated all the time. Opposition runs two up and our defence d...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
We need more grounds capable of holding NRL first. We just have a stack of AFL grounds Why? Teams can warm up on Gosch's Paddock and then straight into AAMI to play. Brisbane only uses Suncorp for their magic round matches. Being a non-league city I think we might embarrass ourselves with small cro...

Re: Official thread and signing news
Not that keen on shibby...in saying that he's better than what we have so if he's all we can get than i suppose you'd take him I'd be targeting in order based off on field alone: 1. Timoko, 2. Xerri 3. Tago, 4. Ramien, 5. Shibba, 6. Averillo. Not sure there's any other decent centre targets for thi...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
Watching the Dogs serve it up to the Panthers is more worrying, shows the Panthers aren’t invincible and it was a total lack of effort and commitment that caused us to concede 50, I hope we see a huge bounce back this weekend. What i noticed in the second half of the first half, when the Panthers c...

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
Besides issues with defence and attack, do we actually have the right players to cope with these new rules? Good question I think all our problems start with defence, and dare i say it, laziness. Nearly all, if not all, penalties / 6-agains are lazy related, not being on side, slowing the play down...

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
Maybe the positive is we gave up 50 and we're now no chance!

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
That was one we definitely should of gone long on at the end there and backed ourselves to hold out the 50 and highlights the fractured mentality of the side unfortunately. Losing 2 gfs in a row and playing 3million + under the cap probably does that to a side. We keep saying about under the salary...
