Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
League eye test mentioned on Twitter the other night that we’ve already given up 15 tries when we’ve faced at least 8 consecutive play the balls in a row. For a full season we’ve not conceded more than 20 in the set restart era before. https://x.com/leagueeyetest/status/2042919970125025743 ————— Coo...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
Bellamy mentioned they’ve been doing the same thing (training, preparation) for 5-6 years and did mention maybe the coaches need to change some things and maybe even change coaches? It’s pretty clear we do not have the roster for this current nrl and we haven’t adapted to the style of play needed on...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
Wonder how long it will be before some “tough” selection calls are made. One of the easier ones for me is dropping one of the non Stefano middles for Clarke and just let him develop where he should be developing. Leo isn’t really doing anything and Meaney is leaving so they shouldn’t be guaranteed s...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
It’s just a dumb defensive scheme if a handful of players continue to come out of the line like that. It’s not 2012 anymore.

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
If he even cares at this point I don’t know why Bellamy doesn’t drop players for poor discipline. We have shown through 6 weeks we do not have the defensive attitude to not give up points after a set restart and yet we give them or penalties away over and over again. Send a goddamn message to your p...

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
We aren’t working as a unit at all defensively and anytime our edges make a tackle we haven’t been able to cover up on the next tackle. Led directly to both tries we’ve given up so far.

Re: Official thread and signing news
Must be a bit of panic in the club if we're now chasing after Shibasaki.

Re: Round 6 vs NZ Warriors
I don't expect Bellamy to do anything but until Lisati and Blore come back we really can't be doing much changing atm. Backline will be different when Coates returns. Munster ain't getting dropped. I’d have thought that Trent Toelau must be close to getting a utility role at Wishy’s expense ? I feel...

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
As someone who was wary and critical of it a couple of years ago, Sua's defence is like wayyyyyy down on the list of my worries with the team atm. If everything in front of him wasn't such a chaotic mess people would be less worried about it. We really need to tighten things up if we're going to tur...

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
Not a lot you can do when a young winger gets beaten by a great player like that but a lot of these defensive problems are not talent or depth issues. I truly want to know what this team is being taught defensively. We used to take so much pride in that area but it looks the opposite these days.

Re: RD 5 v Panthers (Good Friday)
To me we are just way too passive and first contact isn’t good enough.
I really would like to know how much of our defensive issues are player mistakes vs how they’re being coached and it not being a winning formula in 2026.

Re: Official thread and signing news
We desperately needed someone in the starting 13 who could kick goals so for that alone it's a good signing. Hopefully we can at least get some ok footy out of him for two years. He's taken field goals too which is another bonus. He honestly walks in the best kicker in the club hands down in November.

Re: Round 4 v Cowboys
Fox's stats have Sua with only 24 possessions last night. His lowest of the 4 games so far and well down from 43 he had last week. The team are asking a lot of him atm because 1) he's a new toy for the team to use, 2) through 4 games he's truly our most consistent game breaker. One thing I will say ...

Re: Round 4 v Cowboys
Our forward rotations have gotta be playing some kind of role in blowing leads. Our initial first 20 minutes are good then fatigue sets in and then it’s basically a lottery as to who performs well or how each player is used. Defensively *shrug*. Way too many individual mistakes but I also think how ...
