I would personally suggest Origin game 1 before the main season (as a curtain raiser for the coming season). Game 2 midway in season and all teams get a bye and if needed game 3 at season end. That way no team is disadvantaged.

Matty Geyer needs to teach some of these ungrateful gits a thing or two about loyalty.  Play the idiot in the u20 for the rest of the year and blood someone to take his place.  Why leave someone on the sidelines who will be his likely replacement when you can get them on the park and a ready replac...

But if the ref can conduct himself as a REAL REF should knowing the rules he should tell the likes of the wingers he is running the game NOT them. Unfortunately most of the refs we have are not capable in officiating in 1st grade.

A player such as  Max Krilich should know as for Lockyer he is starting to sound like "God" Johns, what gives him the right to lay claim to the position even if it's his last year.

Grapple tackles, head high tackles should be deemed any tackle that is higher than the ball being carried, then and only then can anyone complain. The ref's and linesmen must be uniform in their call of head high tackles and if that rule was adopted there would be no debate from anyone.

Just saw Bennett winge on the news like a cracked record 'grapple' tackles, maybe he should have a look at his own players elbow/hands in throat, knees in back not to mention head tackles. But there again he's allowed to condone his team after all in their eyes it's only Melbourne.

That was the most blatant refereeing and video I have ever seen they should be relegated to junior school league, read somewhere any hollywood  by players would be dealt with lets see what comes of the shark actors tonight?
