Re: Xavier Coates to Storm?

Melbourne Storm are closing in on the signature of highly regarded Brisbane winger Xavier Coates in what would be another shocking recruitment blow for Broncos fans. We first reported the Origin winger meeting with Storm coach Craig Bellamy on the Gold Coast last December. On Saturday, Coates flew ...

Re: Round 8 - Storm vs Sharks

They obviously went into this game thinking they only needed to turn up to win.
Bellamy is going to blow a gasket.

Not so sure about that.
We have let in second least points so far this season. Fix our right side defense up and we win the only 2 games we lost.

It was tough seeing him leave the Storm. He was a good sort.
Be a money saver for the Sharks too. They won't need a right winger anymore.

And no doubt, like Sonny Bill, it will be at a budget rate. One time offer, Roosters only, other teams need not apply!

Re: Round 6 - Storm vs Roosters

Very good performance all around. A few mistakes, but overall excellent.
Ref creating new rules cost us the only points. Since when is running 5 metres and kicking on the first not taking advantage?

Re: Round 4 v Broncos

So... Ryan Papenhuyzen’s pretty good huh? Yeah, he goes ok. I actually think the single most telling moment of the game was just after Melbourne's first try. Behind the line Paps put his arm around Eddie's shoulder and is whispering in his ear the same way Cam Smith used to with playmakers, and Mun...

No doubt Kent will unleash on Fox tonight. Maybe the club is giving him enough rope to hang himself. I hope so.

Re: RD 3 vs Panthers

That tackle is called the “prowler”. Did some googling and it’s been around since at least 2008. There’s some varying opinions on its legality. Probably worth at least a fine these days. Which one of our players invented it, or was it just another Bellamy creation? :rolleye: Most famous for Riley B...

Re: RD 3 vs Panthers

Apparently it wasn't a penalty for offside because it was knocked into our player first... that seems to be what Bellamy was told before his press conference. Well they are wrong. After a knock on the ball is still live - even if it touches an opposition player. The non-offending team can pick the ...

Re: RD 3 vs Panthers

Refs were never going to give us that. That should have been a try. Also the clear offside by the Panthers with 30 seconds to go - no penalty.
Having said that, all due respect that last try saver was amazing.

Re: RD 3 vs Panthers

So, player is held and it's legal to shoulder charge into his ribs. Really?
Think Munster will be in trouble for a hip drop though.
