Re: Word Cup anyone?
Late prediction, but i'm going with Korea on this one, Park to make Greece look like Samoa.
That, and i don't think i know any of the Greece players (yet).

Re: Word Cup anyone?
Had to get up for work thismorning, so no chance of staying up for the France v Uruguay match (ended as 0-0). Would have thought France to take 3 points there, looking at the team selection and sub times gave me a few surprises (like starting with anelka....and leaving him on for so long). Looks to...

Word Cup anyone?
Really surprised no one has started a thread about this yet, surely some (if not most) people here will be (somewhat) following the football (soccer). After all it is the only real world cup for any sport! Not sure how Australia will go, if they manage to beat Germany in their first match they will ...

IMO, it'd be great news, knife into the NRL, we make some cap inroads and keep the dream of cam, coop, and billy staying at the club. Plus, once GI and Izzy make their $$, they can come back home!

Re: JT Free to play souths
I don't suppose anyone has a link to this 'incident'. The footy show had some of it tonight, but largely censored and couldn't show all of it. I'm somewhat interested to see it. For that matter i'm interested to see any footage of players going rank on the field

Re: Storm v Eels....
At least we didn't beat the Bulldogs in the grand final..... I remember going to a prelim final in sydney against them, and they were rampant, it was almost like one of those soccer matches you see with the fireworks and people getting seemingly violent (and they won!) But yeah, i hope the guys get...

Re: NY Jets tempt Inglis with slice of The Big Apple
Coopers not yet in that class, besides his pay is far less. Just noticed that bit, isn't that the point? We're meant to trim our cap considerably apparently, what better way than to lose GI for 1 or 2 years as he makes what he could earn in most of his career (here) in some oddball game (in some od...

Re: NY Jets tempt Inglis with slice of The Big Apple
Cooper is part of the fab four - the guy does amazing things, and has a heart bigger than any other no.7 we've had. I'd probably start watching that padded up excuse of 'football' if Inglis went, and why shouldn't he get as much money as he can? Certainly better than watching him in say a broncos ...

Yeah 'The Eagle' is cool. I like having a non storm supporter putting their view on things into the mix. And as he said - "trolls write inflamatory crap to get flamed" He doesn't need to troll to get flamed, he's a manly fan :P To keep kind of on topic, we won't really know exactly w...

Re: If the injunction is granted on Friday...
Well said Les, i lol'd irl I was just thinking, shouldn't every team be under this much scrutiny now one team has been found out? I'm not just talking this current seasons' teams, but past as well. I'd imagine a few more teams would be found to be over the cap in previous years - what would that m...

Re: More light reading to get angry about.....
The NBL had (has?) a system where players are rated on something like a 1-10 scale. Each club has a certain amount of 'points' to use to attain the players they want. Would this work in rugby league? I think maybe - for a future 'cap', this could work - given that salaries are not limited to x a...

Re: Who might go ???
Didn't want to weigh in on this discussion, though the players that have contracts beyond this year, are they not meant to be honored? So that would leave the list of off contract players that has been listed in this thread already as the first to go? That would be my understanding of the matter, an...
