Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

The testimonial jersey could have been executed a lot better - and I would have liked it to be a bit more Storm. They could have taken the new away jersey and modified the colours to include all the teams being represented. Keep the faded purple lightning bolts and make the stripes one side green an...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

It’s a training jersey like the orange and navy one we had last year. I quite like it but I’m not too keen on the purple gradient and purple shorts combo. I’m sure it’ll typically only be worn with the navy training shorts which would look much better.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

So this is a thing - a special jersey for the Cam Smith/Johnathan Thurston testimonial game. Has the colours of Storm, Australia, Queensland and Norths Devils. https://shop.melbournestorm.com.au/media/catalog/product/cache/1/thumbnail/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/m/s/ms18jsy12m-front.jpg https:/...

Re: Munster told to Pull His Head In!

There hasn't really been an off-field "crisis" this off season so I guess they've got to find something.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

I get really frustrated by the fakes because the quality and accuracy is surprisingly good, especially in the last couple of years. There's usually a few ways you can tell whether one is fake or not - the NRL and club logos will typically be screen printed, sponsor logos will be ever so slightly off...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

There's a "warm up" hoodie on the club store which is right up my alley - and is apparently in stock now. Added that to my jersey pre-order.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DNgusb-UMAAHGRA.jpg Here's the full kit complete with shorts and socks. Overall I'm really happy with the home jersey. I have a couple of nitpicky issues (I'd like the gold trim on the V to be a little thicker and would also like the club logo to be bigger) but overall t...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

I always thought a lightning bolt V on a shield would make for a great secondary logo.

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

This is the logo I was talking about above. There are two different versions: http://www.melbournestorm.com.au/content/storm/club/news/2017/10/30/storm_launch_20_year_1617972549.img.1509311336062.png And a properly coloured version: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DNWdQynUMAYwitE.jpg I like it but I fee...

Re: Premiership merchandise

I received my premiers t-shirt after about a two-three week wait. Arrived with a large mark burned into the print. Thought it might be part of the ‘distressed’ look at first but figured it was a bit much for that. Compared it to others - it’s definitely a printing error. Problem is I’m far too lazy ...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

From the one new ISC jersey with a 2018 collar I’ve seen, it’s basically a one piece almost t-shirt style collar with a panel at the back which I assume covers seams and stitching. It looks like the previous ISC collar but constructed differently. The new jersey will surely have gold on it after the...

Re: The Jerseys, Merchandise and Sponsorship Thread

You can probably expect a new jersey to be unveiled on Monday. The club posted an image of Glen Lazarus lifting the trophy on social media with the caption "respecting our past, looking to our future" and Monday's date. It's the right time of year for that sort of thing as November 1st or ...

Re: World Club Challenge

I like the idea of the World Club Challenge but it's basically just a glorified pre-season match. When you factor in the travel and the disruption that has - nah. If Leeds and Super League want it to go ahead they can come here.

Re: 2017 Grand Final: Storm Vs Cowboys

The club reckons there will be approximately 10,000 Storm fans "making the trip up". I'm not sure how that compares to grand finals in the past but it sounds like a lot. I remember being at games at AAMI Park in the past with less people than that so that'll be a pretty incredible turnout.

Re: Travel plans

Booked my accommodation with free cancellation two months ago as a just in case - glad I did now. It was still a bit pricey even back then but it's in the CBD and close to everything - and I imagine whatever is still available is far more expensive now. The last two grand finals I've been to I staye...
