Re: Grand Final - Storm v Panthers
Went to the game last night. I had a sense Penrith were going to show up and be quite physical. Really needed more from the front-row. Kamikamica having two runs and only playing 17 minutes isn’t going to cut it. I’d also argue Welch, who I think is a really great clubman, has his best days behind h...

Re: Grand Final - Storm v Panthers
Wonder if Penrith now operate with four forwards on the bench or drop Eisenhuth for Sorensen after declaring he’ll play.

Re: Grand Final - Storm v Panthers
Liking the build up to this one. The NAS judiciary decision out of the way. All the talk of the new Broncos coach and what it means for NSW. All the focus off the guys. Can anyone honestly say they thought our guys would make the GF this year? I thought maybe they could and hoped it but I was never ...

Re: Prelim Final
The effort from howarth to support paps and then finish off 20 restart.. Phenomenal signs from the young man in a big game I love the maturity and execution Papenhuyzen had there. He could have tried to fend off and burn Young but knew Howarth was on the left. Executing that pass isn’t easy either....

Re: Prelim Final
The odds on the Roosters have blown out a little since 9am which is interesting. I wonder if there’s a key out from the team we’re not aware of.

Re: Prelim Final
Can understand the nerves. The Roosters were good last night.
Manly were also utterly terrible. They missed 32 tackles, conceded seven penalties and made 14 errors.
The two HIAs in the first two minutes or so would have had them scrambling a bit too.

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks
Can I give a shout-out to Nick Meaney - he copped SO MUCH CRAP in the beginning of the year but he has helped Warbrick become an elite player. His defence as a centre has grown in the past few months and is more than capable of breaking the line. Re Paps - ignore the face that his speed has come of...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks
Random thought - has state of origin ruined Nicho Hynes? I don’t think so but I do think it’s exposed a few deficiencies in his attack. He’s not really a threat down a blindside and the reason he excelled at the Storm was because at fullback he was able to utilise the full width of the field with t...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks
Just had a look at Warbrick’s stats in his last two starts…
He has a total five tries, 500 metres and six line breaks. What a behemoth.

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks
That was a magnificent win. I loved the way the guys stuck to their game plan and didn’t shirk when a few odd things happened in the first-half.
King and Loiero ran for more than 400 metres combined. Warbrick also had 200 odd metres and two tries. Brilliant.

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks
Hazelton picked up a knee injury last week and is in doubt, but has still been named in the extended squad. That looks to be the only change the Sharks might make. He’s an enormous out if he doesn’t play for the Sharks. His ability to hit the line at speed, make tough carries and his short-passing ...

Re: Finals week 1 vs Sharks
Really can’t afford to underestimate the Sharks next week. In a weird way - I see them as being very similar to the Storm in the way they attack. They love shifting the ball wide to their back-rowers, are very athletic and fast, and have a strong backline which gets them out of trouble. Their win to...

Re: Round 27 - Broncos vs Storm
Can’t remember seeing a winger’s stats like Warbrick this season. Last night he ran for about 300 metres, broke eight tackles, had five line breaks and scored three tries. Pretty sure he had similar stats against Parramatta. What an absolute behemoth. He did yes, he's been fantastic the last 2 mont...
