Young French players Baptiste Fabre (Albi) and Cesar Rouge (Limoux) will fly to Melbourne to participate in a training camp with the Storm.

Former French Elite coach Laurent Garnier works for the Storm, and the young French players will be hoping to earn a deal and get the chance to play in Australia.

Interesting. Definitely an innovative pathway to look at.

From an article by the Mole

A teenager poached from Kiwi rugby union could be the shock answer to Melbourne's centre problems next season.

Judda Turahui, 18, is training with the Storm's full-time squad and has impressed coach Craig Bellamy with his maturity and skills.

With the Storm losing Will Chambers (released), Solomone Kata (rugby union) and Curtis Scott (Raiders), the centres could prove a real problem.

But Turahui, who hails from Taranaki and attended the famous rugby union nursery Kings College in Auckland, could fill the void.

A fine all-round athlete, he broke records in both high jump and running at school but is now ready to step up to the big boys.

That might not be too bad an outcome. We're going to lose JAC (this year or next) anyway , and I have real wraps on Lewis - I reckon Storm could make him a legitimate superstar halfback.

No, I don't think so. Spend a bit of time watching Lachlan play.

This. He'd be a fantastic signing to cover the vacant centre spot. Unfortunately, I believe Mitchell will play fullback with Graham and Burns in the centres.

Would the club want an established first grader or sign a young back or forward with potential?
