Very classy speech from Cooper. You can tell he's keen to make sure that everyone at the Storm knows how much he appreciated his time with us. He will go down as one of the greats even though he probably won't make it to immortal status. I assume it's a given that Billy and Cam will get statues somewhere in Melbourne: I wonder if Cooper will also be celebrated this way? Or will Storm historians refer to 'The Big Three' as Billy, Cam and Craig?

Greg Inglis has been admitted to a rehabilitation clinic as the retired NRL legend struggles with life after football.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs released a statement on Friday confirming Inglis had entered a facility for treatment for mental health issues.

The Daily Telegraph reports he will also be treated for alcohol issues.

“Rabbitohs and Souths Cares ambassador Greg Inglis has entered a facility to undergo treatment to assist with and support his mental health,” the statement read.

“On behalf of Greg and his family, we ask the media and the public to respect their privacy.

“No further comment will be made by the Rabbitohs, Greg, his management or his family at this time.

According to the Telegraph, Inglis is said to depressed and fragile.

It comes after NRL CEO Todd Greenberg confirmed he was “aware of some of the issues that (Inglis) is facing” and said they were in contact with the retired star and the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

“It will be a journey for Greg. But he’s got a lot of support.

“He’s got a lot of people around him, including all of us at the NRL.”

Nine’s Danny Weidler, meanwhile, reported Inglis was “struggling” with the transition into life after football
Inglis has bravely shared his mental health journey with the league community in the past, including revealing he spent time in a mental health rehab facility almost two years ago.

Best wishes to Greg and his family. I hope the big fella comes through and finds meaning and purpose in life after football.

Hull fans (mostly) seem pretty excited by it as well. He has a fair highlights reel from his time their previously.

I was hoping though that we would continue to see Mahe on show in the NRL... Oh well, best of luck to him.

Slade Griffin forced to retire due to injury. Feel for him, he was very unlucky. Good luck with his future.

Brodie Croft isn't the only ex-Storm player to sign with the Brisbane Broncos with Jesse Arthars signing a two year deal.
