Just remember that your career options will be severely limited if you don't eventually finish your schooling.
If you are too easily distracted by others you might be the type who is better suited to finishing through TAFE. I know at least two people who didn't feel they would cope well with the HSC (the equivalent to your VCE) so they got part time jobs in places like Maccas but continued to study though TAFE when it suited them.
Although this is the type of thing that is best discussed with your teachers and family members rather than on a internet forum with people who don't know much about you.
