I would much prefer to see the boycott against Indonesia rather than Bali. It's not the Balinese that despise Australians, nor was it they who killed 212 lives. It is in the Indonesian system that proclaims a 4kg stash of drugs is of greater harm to the population than killing 212 tourists and locals. Twenty years versus 3 years.

intresting on media watch they said the guy that got 2 years for planning the bombing...hasnt been charged yet...he has only been "accused" of being the master mind...so he still has his trial to come i believe.
the guys that did the bombing were all given death penalty...

Why don't you boycott Australian Airlines and the airports instead? After all, if someone did slip 4Kg of mj between australia and Bali, it'd be their staff

I have a thing against Qantas anyways - so that clears that up! And it's really the judicial system that places 20yrs on 4kg of vegetation over 3 yrs for planning the death of 200.
Mind you - the silly Americans - they make me laugh. Apparently Good Morning Amercia did a news story on Chappelle, and then started to discuss the issue. Someone brought up the Abu Bakar Bashir case, and compared Chappelle's alleged importation compared with Bashirs alleged killing of 12 people. That's right - 12..... AMERICANS! Ignore the other 200 that were killed - Australians, Kiwis etc - and of course the Balinese!

She might have... but we'll never know if she is guilty or not... we only see the evidence that the AUSTRALIAN media want us to see.
I have a gut feel that she is innocent, but can't be certain as I've seen only half the story

no your right but im coming from her side saying that she was given a un fair trial...how can you prove anything if the trial is un fair? sure she had the drugs...but the judge wouldnt hear anything else..she was guilty before proven innocent...she was guilty before she put step into the court room....hopefully they get a decent judge for the appeal

To be perfectly honest, I'm not surprised that she was found guilty. It was loking pretty dodgy, and she's not the type of person I'd trust. Just seeing a picture of her makes me careful to watch my back. I have a bad feeling about her, and think that she is mroe than likely guilty than not. That being said, lucky I'm not a judge or juror. Deciding someone's fate just by not liking the look of 'em, isn't the best way to do justice.
Glory, Glory to South Sydney!
True that the media has just exagerated everything. We have only heard one side.Thunderstruck wrote:Precisely. We don't know the Bali side of the story.
