Much better effort.

Thinga87, are you going to the Geelong Tiger Snakes home game on May 22nd? If so I'll likely see you there as at this stage I plan to go to that game. I'd like to go to the game against the Roosters on May 15th in Newport but I don't think I'll be able to make that one.

Check out the VRL website for all the details. But keep in mind that there may be some changes for 2006, ie Geelong are looking at fielding junior sides.

With the money going to Rugby League development in Victoria will there be alot more clubs or just a few?

Hard to say at this stage, some of the money will be used to get more exposure to inter-school comps. I know there are plans by the VRL at this stage to try and get a mini-comp happening for November 2005. Aside from that only next year will say for sure. Might still take til 2007 before the effect of the extra money really becomes obvious.

Throw it into schools I say. People play it at school and enjoy it then play it at a club then down teh track they might come to the Storm to watch or even play!

The schools aren't too keen to embrace it.
I know personally, when I tried to get the go ahead for our school (Salesian College) to play another local High school back in 1998, the sports co ordinator told me it was too rough. Now I had been playing for years and back then I was really small for my age, and I tried to use myself as an example, but it was all to no avail. I was told to play Aussie Rules, to which I replied I'd rather play netball because it'd be tougher. I know of others who met the same fate when they also tried to get a football team up and running. I just hope narrow minded tarts like our co ordinator don't make up the bulk of the school's leading sport's instructors.
