Not sure if any of you guys watched the NZ vs Samoa game, but man it was one of the best games all year. Especially the second half. NZ were never going to lose, but the pride and passion which Samoa played with shows that the gap between countries is definitely able to be overcome. Masoe and Matagi were phenomenal in the second half leading the way against a NZ pack that really didnt do much wrong. They definitely missed Waerea-Hargreaves when he was on the bench, but Bromwich was solid along with the rest of their pack. Ben Roberts had one of his better days, minus a big error when Samoa had a full set of six on NZ's line early in the game. Junior Sau also had a pretty good game making a couple of nice runs although I dont think he passed the ball to Winterstein once. The crowd and atmosphere sounded amazing in the second half, and I think already this World Cup is shaping up to be a success. Hopefully some of the other potential finalists such as Tonga, Fiji and PNG play with the same amount of passion that Samoa played with this morning and really give the big 3 a run for their money. On a side note, Tohu would never have stuffed up that try...

Spewing I missed the Tonga game. By all reports it was a real cracker.

I also thought Tonga would win well here...

NZ beat France 48-0 which makes Group B very interesting now.

There is a very real chance that PNG will beat Samoa and that Samoa will beat france. You would expect NZ to beat PNG. This would most likely mean that there would be 3 teams on 1 win a piece trying to fit into 2 spots. For and against could be very important here...
