Blake Austin is such a gun. Of all the potential NSW 5/8s that have been thrown up as a possibility (of which he has NOT been one from what I have seen), I'd be very tempted to select him.

Just plays the game very tough and is a strong competitor.

Ben Hampton, Shaun Nona and Kenny Bromwich have been named in Queensland Residents team. As has Easts Tigers' Tommy Butterfield and ex-Storm player Mitch Garbutt.

Even as a staunch Storm supporter, I've gotta say, Proctor is very, very lucky. Has not offered much this year.

Wrong Blake yh~!!

He's pretty good, but just too much of a hit and miss kind of player - and in todays game, where he threw a medicine ball to a teammate that had no chance of holding onto it...his body language seemed to be blaming the teammate for what was straight up his fault (could be wrong....but it kind of looked like that) At least he came back from it strongly. Though as a Qld supporter, i could care less who they end up going with, all their clear favourites are having an average year, hopefully they stick with the dogs halves....and hopefully the qld big men remember last year, and just how grubby they were! A few receipts are in order!

Re: NZ team, K-Proc may well be lucky to be selected (it might even wake him from his slumber) but how unlucky is Benji?? Surely he's been the form half/five eighth....I'd be going with Johnson/Marshall in the halves...Not sure why he hasn't even made the squad - crazy stuff!

Mahe Fonua and Felise Kaufusi have been named in 18 man Tonga squad. As have ex-Storm players Sika Manu (captain) and Richie Fa'aoso. Great to see Richie back playing rugby league.
