For a bit of fun - and feel free to come back and gloat if you get it right ;) - who do you predict will get the club awards at the end of the year based on what you've seen through 6 rounds?

Mine are:

Player of the year - Jesse Bromwich (Smokies are Blake Green and Tohu Harris)
Best Back - Will Chambers (Smokies Blake Green and Marika Koroibete)
Best Forward - Tohu Harris or Cameron Smith (Smoky Jordan McLean)
Most Improved - Marika Koroibete
Rookie - Cameron Munster (Smoky Felise Kaufusi)
Leading Tryscorer - Will Chambers or Marika Koroibete

Add your own and if you're right you can lord it over everyone all next year!

I wonder if anyone is changing their thinking now.

I still think Jesse for player of the year.
Cam or Tohu will get best forward (Finucane a smoky)
Marika or Munster for best back (Will went missing a bit mid year)
Most Improved is a two horse race Marika or Munster
I believe Munster is eligible for rookie otherwise it has to be NAS

If Cooper doesn't sneak player of the year, it is entirely conceivable that one of our 3 greatest players will finish his career without that award - interesting.

Glasby for most improved! Or maybe a new category 'most underappreciated'!

Who's idea was it to put the awards dinner on a Wednesday night. I've been for the last 4 years as its usually on a Friday or Saturday, so can have a day off to get ready (wife's hair, make-up, final dress fitting, last minute panic that her bag is not the same exact shade as her shoes!! etc, etc, etc.) then a day off afterwards to recovery (usually me!!).
Wednesday night!!!!

My prediction is that the players will be well rested for this event having not played footy for almost a month.
