Garbutt to Broncos
I see News is reporting Mitch is off to the Broncos on a 3 year deal.
I certainly hope we have a signing or two up our sleeve to cover these losses.
Alternatively, are we going to promote the likes of Britt, Welch and NAS, which is not a bad way to go.

Disappointed but seriously $700 000 for unproven potential, wow and I thought the broncos were already struggling with the salary cap??
But I'm happy for a couple of our young guys to be promoted especially NAS who looks very promising.
I'm fine with the club not trying to match those $$$ but seriously Garbutt must have a great manager b/c god only knows how he got himself that much !

Am I right in thinking there will be future salary cap benefits in promoting and retaining players that have come through U20's system at a Club.
Maybe the Club is looking at retaining and promoting young Forwards to free up future cap space in order to retain required players longer into the future
Just a thought that the Club may be looking at "expendable" players now with a long term strategic view to player retention especially as guys like Mann, Munster, Tohu, Jesse, Kev and a future decent 7 & 9 wont come cheap.

and 4 who pre-date that competition (not counting Hoffy who's leaving):
Chambers, Cronk, Slater and Smith

I'll believe that when I see it. Can't see the club wanting to let go of someone who is somewhat of a cult hero, for Reece Robinson. Not sure why he would want to come here either given that Travis has seen no first grade.
Hay bula where did you hear this ?bula wrote:Apparently Raiders & Storm to swap Waqa and Reece Robinson.
I certainly hope its not true.
Would like Reece to come to the storm but not at the price of losing Waqa.
Maybe Duffie only cos he is injury prone.
