Marika Koroibete
Wests Tigers young winger. Highly regarded.
Have heard he is coming down the great southern capital next season.
Limited opportunities for him where he is so he is headed our way.

Discussion has been going in signings thread and most are hoping he comes.
Gifted runner. Great balance and has the gift of beating a player.
Has a strong carry and will be great out of of dummy half or on the end of set plays.
Really hope he does end up here. Oh boy what a sight he's gonna be.

Here’s the current state of our outside backs at the moment:
Matt Duffie – Out for the year and off contract, unlikely to see him in a Storm jersey again.
Justin O’Neill – Currently injured and is always injury prone, did bugger all when he did play this year.
Sisa Waqa – Is carrying an injury and has been below his best the last couple of weeks. Bellyache should rest him so he can recover properly.
Young Tonumaipea – Great start to the year but slowly dropped away in form the last couple of weeks.
Kurt Mann – Great young player and should keep his spot in the team.
Travis Robinson – Why did we sign him to play in the NSW Cup week after week? Absolute waste of cap space.
Will Chambers – Finding form after a slow start to the year.
Mahe Fonua – Is simply not up to first grade standard at the moment.
Judging by this, we definitely need Koroibete. Please sign him Melbourne.

Unfortunately your list confirms that Storm should be signing a high quality centre with both high quality offensive and defensive skills...Koroibete would not seem to fit the bill (even though his offensive game is amazing)mattstormy wrote:Here’s the current state of our outside backs at the moment:

2/5 in the back 5 with solid, unquestionable defence....storma01 wrote:So our back line would look something like
1 slater
2 waqa
3 chambers
4 oneil
5 koroibete
6 green
7 cronk
I could live with that!!!
could get ugly unless the other 3/5 score significantly more points than they concede

Very excited about this signing. Will take a while for him to learn the system down here but i'd much prefer him doing it during the season playing football as opposed to a preseason on the training paddock. No doubt he's a first grader every day of the week but it'ill be interesting to see if he goes straight into first grade or trains for us for a couple of weeks learning the Storm way while starting in the seconds.
