Potential Blues spot? Or City/Country at least?

That is apparently why Josh McGuire is not making himself available for Somoan selection... he is a chance for QLD. Thought Tariq might be in the same boat. Tariq has been a bit ulucky with injuries over the years but 2014 just might be the year.

Could Young Tonumaipea be a sneaky chance of selection for Samoa?

I would say he's a very good chance if he's eligible

Mattpoet Young was born in Apia, Samoa so he is definitely eligible.

Well then I reckon he is a very good chance, I'm not sure what their wing/fullback stocks are like but if Mahe could be picked for Tonga last year after a similar number of games then Young would have to be under serious consideration.

Samoa's backline through out the WC was consistently Milford at fullback, Winterstein and Vidot on the wings and Lafai and Leilua in the centres. If all 5 of them are injury free I'd say that will be their backline but Young might be able to find a spot in the train on squad.

NZ have named an 18 man squad which includes 4 current Storm players and one ex-Storm player. Kenny Bromwich has bee named for what will be his debut. Jesse, Tohu and Kevin have also been named, as has Adam Blair. Congrats and good luck boys.

Wow thats fanastic! With the teams form I honestly thought it would just be JB and maybe Proctor, but for all 4 to get named is great

Edit: just saw the whole team. Think NZ are going to get rolled but all the same, well done to them for making the team.
