Not sure where Taylor's head is at or if he can be a good player again but having a halfback you can rely on to do halfback "things" would be such a step up.

You can't rely on Taylor period. On his day he is very good, but he has no strength under pressure - when it's going badly he goes to water. If he's having a bad day he actively avoids taking responsibility - the last thing you want from your playmaker.

To steal a quote from The Replacements; "Winners always want the ball when the game is on the line."
Cronk, Smith, Slater, Munster, Finucane, right back to Ross, Kimmorley, Nikau and Kearns - the list at Storm is long and distinguished. But with 30 seconds to go and 2 points down, can you honestly see Ash Taylor saying, "Gimme the ball"?.

I'm not convinced Taylor is that much better than Croft. If at all. And that is without comparing their pay packets.

I'd take Taylor only if he agreed to play on minimum wage. Show us how much you want it!

We’re comparing him to Croft here lol.

Got a feeling he wouldn’t be the same player under Bellamy or in our system. It’s moot anyway cause he’s not coming here.

Just read NRL lurker rumour. That storm are shopping around both Chambers and Scott. Story says Chambers spoke to Cowboys management this week. Says they are on the “outer” with storm. Could explain the injury if true.

I get shopping one, but both? We may have someone lined up? Ramien? Cos I'm not sure Kata and Seve are the answer.

Ripped off from Evel Knievel;
Bones heal, pain is temporary, and chicks dig scars
Still a great quote though.

No need to read after that. It has been acknowledged that Hooper has been wrong many times this year. He has officially reached Weidler status.

I wouldn’t put it past him to drum up rubbish articles purely on behalf of player managers looking to boost the contract value.

There are probably at least 3 or 4 clubs who would love to have Paps. Not really a revelation for readers surely!
