Didn't know where else to post this but the club has signed a young 15 year old Fijian and a couple 14 year olds have been put on a scholarship.
Nice work by the club even if nothing comes of it the opportunity to get these boys schooling here and possibly provide for their families through football or work later on is the biggest positive.

Anyone interested in Ben Barba? He’s coming back to the NRL after killing it in the uk, looking likely he’ll win the man of steel award. Sharks have already ruled him out. Wouldn’t be the worst idea for us I reckon

1. Not sure his background would get him past the NDP.
2. Fullback is the one position we are well covered for.
3. I think the cash would be better used elsewhere.

It is worth noting the difference between Barba and Jesse though. Barba’s off-field issues were more widespread than two separate suspensions for cocaine use.

Jesse did the crime paid the price. Got a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance. This other guy has been caught three times that we know of, once is a mistake more than that is a problem. I don't think the club needs that.

For those who weren't at the game other than the three rep players (Billy, Hoffy and Tom Glasby) there were only two other players in the departing players video. The players were Louis Geraghty and Lachlan Timm.

Adam O'Brien also made an appearance in the departures video.
