Stanley is too big a risk. We've already been through it with him and nothing's changed. He's still injury prone.

Copley has more upside and hope we at least make a play at him or another good centre. Need someone to feed the Korobeast.

Gray officially announces his re-signing with Souths despite ongoing speculation he could potentially sign with us. I'm not fussed in missing his signature.

Titans looking to get rid of Kevin Gordon. Wouldn't mind seeing him line up in a Storm jersey.

Good point.

My ideal pick of all the centre/wing options that are off contract for the 2016 season is Daniel Vidot. He's got the size and ability to be a regular first-grade player and would benefit from a structured style of play where he knows his place. He also has that bit of aggro that could be harnessed and used a lot more effectively. I think he's going to the Bulldogs though so it's purely dreaming.

Cant remember if this was posted as a rumour or confirmed "rumour" if that makes sense, but - The club is most definitely in talks with Mbye

Apparently Tim Lafai is off contract. He wouldn't be a bad signing IMO.
Whispers Michael Jennings could return to Penrith, well why not Melbourne lol.

Jennings will price himself too high, but, Lafai would be a great get.

Lafai re-signed with the bulldogs for 3 years last year. I doubt they would release him based on current form.

There really are not a lot of quality outside backs off contract in 2016...

Mbye is contracted to the Dogs next year. Even if available, the Titans are in a better position (salary cap wise) to lure him. Also depends what position he wants to play.

Lafai - Contracted also.

Copley - Contracted but languishing in Intrust Cup. A possibility, but only if released by Brisbane.

Vidot is off contract and whilst I think he can play a solid role in any team, he is not what we need.

Brad Tighe is off contract. Meh.

Not much else on the market (not sure on SL). Makes it more surprising that we let Mahe go.

Maybe there's someone in a lower grade - Neumann or Brett Anderson are probably a bit old but, solid. Someone in that experienced lower grade - mature body type mould may be the answer though.

Pending his ability to defend in the frontline (and his contact) Munster should be a consideration. He seems to have his head screwed on and some football nouse which would hopefully mean the capability to transition.

More time in first grade can only benefit him. Otherwise in 2016 he goes back to QLD Cup.

He may not be a world beater at centre, but if his role is kept simple, I think he could be a handy stop-gap. Just focus on wrapping up his opposing centre and little else.

At least until a better option presents itself
