I think Garbutt gets a spot somewhere in the full strength 17. He's too good to keep down in the Q Cup. Also interested to see how Kaufusi goes in the pre season.

No way should Robinson be in the centres. He's one of the worst tacklers in first-grade.

We are very thin on centres... Chambers is the only player on our books with first grade centre experience.

Get Fonua playing centre in Q Cup!

He is better suited to centre IMO and played all of his NYC time there. Short nugget style wingers are out because they are just too easy to get above in the aerial contest. Fonua is STRONG, particularly his running game, and would be dangerous with a bit more space to work with/build up some speed.

Defence is obviously the main concern, that is why he should get some more experience defending there in an adult comp. The step up to first grade is hardest for a centre IMO (you could argue half as well). It would be an investment by the Storm but IMO is a position he will be more successful in than wing... again, assuming his defensive decisions can improve.

In no universe is he center. A position you get caught 1v1 more then any other position, where you have to make crucial defensive decisions. And let's not forget Mane penchant for throwing stupid passes and verbloose carries during his time there in NYC.

He should be groomed for the backrow as me and steaming stormer have been saying for years

Fonua's a gun.. Next year after another off season he'll be ready for a regular spot.

If Duffie can return healthy and stay healthy I'd probably prefer him over Juzzy atm. O'Neill just hasn't taken the next step up.

Would almost go the same way but I'd switch Hoffman to lock and keep Proctor on the right. Procs way to one-sided to play the middle.

After seeing Garbutt's first 18 minutes of the QCup GF he'll play many more games next year. Also, next season could be the year Cam Smith relinquishes the kicking duties and Cody Walker takes over.

Garbutt was phenomenal the first 25 mins. Proabably had 13-14 runs all strong. Glasby has been solid too. Also thinking Mahe might be better as a bench forward.

Also I don't think Hampton's anywhere near regular first-grade material.

Not yet anyway. He hasn't really taken his game to a level in the way I had hoped. Granted he's playing out of position but he still doesn't get himself involved too often. Needs to get bigger and stronger over the offseason.
