No doubt, as a South's player wasn't the victim, nothing will be done by the judiciary. Add the high shots by Burgess during the game and that sums him up as far as I'm concerned.

Ox in 2008 was the only player to win the Dally M and Premiership post-Super League (he also was the captain). Although if the Dally M wasn't cancelled in 2003, Craig Gower was a certainty to win it that year and he captained Penrith to the Premiership.

Not sure how this one has escaped scrutiny until now.

The replay is pretty clear, Chambers was not in any pain until Sam reached up and under... The tackle was well and truly complete and Burgess had no reason to be putting his hands anywhere around there.

Sam was obviously hot under the collar all game and it seems he cannot control himself without resorting to foul play.

Scum act and one that hopefully now sees him miss the remainder of the 2013 season. Doesn't get much lower than that.

If this was Slater, can you imagine the media circus??? Somehow it has barely been mentioned and I fear the Match Review Committee will let it slide.

Trial by social media. Gold. The rugby league fans of the world have practically done the MRC's job for them!

Too lenient. 6 weeks at a minimum.

Absolutely. It would have been a single week if he didn't have a dodgy record.

Two weeks is ridiculous. How is this any better than biting and eye gouging?

It's okay. He plays for Souffs who will get a sloon passage to their first premiership in 40+ years. NRL doing everything in theior power to get them there. Worse than Saints in 2010.

Agreed 2 weeks is too soft given the scummy act that was committed.

So according to some news sources, Burgess received such a low grading because he "pinched" Chambers nuts which is (apparently) better than getting a handful... Great explanation ::)

Another great story coming out of this situation...

http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/nrl ... 6695788794

My favourite part is the quote from George Piggins, "you are pushed into a situation where you are getting a belting and you think 'shit, I’ve got to do something'. What are you supposed to do!?"

Yep, squeezing some blokes plums is the ONLY option when you are getting belted in a game. Makes sense.

Geez, the absolute retards we have in our game is often disheartening. I'm sure if this was Slater on Burgess the reaction from Piggins would be exactly the same...

 The excuses some people make up have been hilarious. A DH on league unlimited was calling Chambers a dog.

Just imagine the articles if one of our players did it.

This one's from Piggins too:

"Like fair dinkum. Did they read the paper the other day with that piece in The Telegraph about how much the crowds are down?

Because the crowds want nothing more than to see men groping men

yes if you watch the replay, as soon as it happened and Chambers went down, Burgess got away from there quick smart, but Brett Finch saw it and he went to Cam Smith straight away, they had a word, then when Burgess got the ball, Finch was the one to tackle him, he said something to Burgess, and the scum just laughed at him, but Finchy wasn't laughing!!
