Trying to pass the time until the trial games start up again, I decided to work out a team of Storm Players with the most tries in each position (including off the bench). Here it is (I think the numbers include World Club Challenge Appearances):

1. Slater 134 Tries in 219 Matches (no surprises there)
2. Geyer 68 Tries in 143 Matches (I was surprised the number was so low, I thought he had spent the majority of his career on the wing and whilst yes, that is technically correct, I thought the numbers would be more like 200 Matches and 90 Tries)
3. Moule 57 Tries in 95 Matches (I was a little bit surprised to find that Moule made it, simply because I would've thought that either King or Inglis would shade him out. For the record, King scored 50 tries in 74 Matches and Inglis played only 53 Matches in the centres for 36 Tries)
4. S.Bell 63 Tries in 103 Matches (I expected that he would get one of the centre positions as, unlike Inglis and King, he played solely as a centre)
5. Bai 71 Tries in 145 Matches (Spent his whole Storm career on the wing and is still no.4 on our all time try scoring list - no surprises here)
6. Hill 42 Tries in 150 Matches (Our only real long-term Five Eighth, had to be him)
7. Cronk 53 Tries in 178 Matches (Shades out Orford by 1 Try)
8. Kearns 13 Tries in 147 Matches (Top Prop by a mile)
9. Smith 32 Tries in 220 Matches (Was always going to be him, nobody else even comes close in terms of opportunities or skill - no disrespect intended to Swain, Cam's just better)
10. White 5 Tries in 99 Matches (Beats out several players on 4 Tries - Bromwich, Chan, Howe, Norrie and Roarty, have to wonder why Bellamy couldn't have given him just 1 more start though)
11. Kearney 19 Tries in 130 Matches (Beats Kidwell - 15 in 74 for the second spot)
12. Hoffman 42 Tries in 142 Matches (Our top try scoring forward of all time, was always going to romp it in)
13. Johnson 9 Tries in 135 Matches (Was a little surprised that DJ got in considering his lack of tries over the years, interesting to note that Hinchcliffe - 6 in 15 - is gaining on him fast)
14. Rua 7 Tries in 47 Matches (Gets in, but, wouldn't if Hoffman - 9 in 42 - wasn't already there in the run on side)
15. Williams 18 Tries in 105 Matches (Played a lot of matches off the bench)
16. Bawden 19 Tries in 82 Matches (Underrated try scorer looking at his stats)
17. Roarty 12 Tries in 52 Matches (Like Bawden, underrated try scorer)

An amusing side note, the bench is the same as the 1999 Premiership winning side, how's that for a statsitical quirk?

What a great team!

Regarding the bench - 1999 was before the change from unlimited interchange, where the bench was rotated so much it was possible to be a bench specialist. All really good players though.

Moule was a surprise - that was a good strike rate

Hmmm. I'm surprised that Tony Martin never made that list. Couldn't have scored as many tries as I 1st thought.
Anybody think of any other notable misses from that squad...?

Tony Martin only scored 20 Tries, it felt like more because he had a habit of getting them at important moments like the 1999 Grand Final

Great list compiled there. Glad to see my favourite player, Mouley up there.
Where did Adam Blair get placed behind Hoffy?

With only 5 Tries in 121 Matches, there was Hoffy --- Daylight --- Everyone else --- More Daylight --- Moonlight --- Starlight --- Blair lol.

He wasn't a try scorer.

Blair scored fewer tries than many would think, he only crossed the line five times in fact, which is quite surprising considering he was an attacking second-rower.
