Didn't Matt Orford have a blood clot in his brain at the start of 2004 and he was able to go on and win the Melbourne Storm Player of the Year that season?

Daniel Wells the AFL footballer with North Melbourne had the same blood problem and was out for six months. The club will put his health first.

Hopefully is only a month Sallymay. Will's become an invaluable part of our team, and greatly deserves a premiership ring!!

well if you read up on the illness mate then you would read that ppl can be out of action for a month with worst case senarios being up to 6 months Frank ponessi said his blood platlets were under 4 when they are ment to be 150 to 200 and under 50 is worst case....therefore in my view that would be the longest time out to get better....its got nothing to do with being a doctor its called reseach and listening

I think it's too early to be speculating either way because even the doctors can't put a time frame on his return. His blood count did go from 4 to 50 while he was in hospital which was very encouraging but it looks like there's still a fair way to go. It's probably better planning not to have him for the rest of the season and if he comes back before that it's just a bonus for us.
