I was reading the Big League Season Preview the other day and found this comment in the North Queensland article.

Everyone at North Queensland knows that this year means business. A staggering 18 players are currently off-contract at the end of the season, behind only Melbourne with 20."

I find that very hard to believe.

There's no way that Storm could allow 20 players in a 28 player roster to be off contract at the end of this year.

Luke Berkrey is not in our first grade squad that brings the list back to 20. Some of those guys re-signed last year for a year plus an option if I remember rightly - Waqa, Blair and possibly even Norrie.

Didnt bobby want to leave last yr and then at the last minute he resigned maybe he is trying to get himself sacked...i guess we will find out

My opinion..

let go of: Lowrie, lowe, sisa, quinn,bobby, Ryles.

Retain : manu, harris?, garbutt, vave, Norrie, mahe, Neilson .

Bobby and sisa I think will not be here next year I really like bobby but I don't think he will be here beyond this season.
Ryles I think his getting old and he only signed this year just to add some experience and size to the pack.. Could be wrong.
Lowe, Lowrie my two least favourite players at the club think there time at storm are coming to an end.
Quinn, I think mahe will be ready for the top grade next year and quinn will struggle to get a spot with the talent in our Backline.

Tohu, is he off contract or not? If so we need to snap him up quickly!
Manu I hope we resign him, his our best forward!
Vave looking very good in his first 3 games, his gonna be very good come next year. The new lima!
Garbutt is looking strong in qld cup I think he will be a good impact player off the bench next year, big mobile forward.

That's just the players I know that are off contract...
