Just wondering if anyone has been to the new storm bistro?  In the new Hail storm edition 20 they have launched a NEW and IMPROVED menu.  Was it that bad they needed to change it after one game?  Also did they have a kids menu?  I know they are not licenced yet but that is not of too much concern to me ( not good for their business maybe).

Don't you have to pre-book by email? Seems like a pain in the bum to me.

madstorm - I ask them last home game and they said they had a kids menu...
However with the new improved menu I am still assuming they have kids meals.

does seem odd to update after one time being open.
No drinking license is ok for me but can see how that might put people off.
You do have to email to book a table and priority is given top members.

I have request a booking for Monday will not know if we have a seat till the 11th

Got an email today to say it was totally booked -
so no seats for us.... but we can turn up and see
but with two kids not going to do that.......

Still think it should be open for all members to book
on a first in basis..... but oh well what can we do..

I wish you could just rock up and get a meal - even something basic.  I don't like this e-mail pre-booking business.

The Eagle... Its not a Leagues Club..
Its a Cafe that seats maybe 50 people...
At this stage it has only just opened prior to the games,
it has no drinks license yet and you can only book via
email with in a time frame. You can turn up and try your luck
though.

I believe the club runs it and profits go back to the club.

It is at AAMI Park - between the western and eastern stands....

At the forum - they said it would be open all the time and show
away games and be a place for fellow storm supporters to meet
up. But to be honest I have not heard anything more of that
since the forum. So not sure what the go is.

Whilst Aces is meant to be our club as such....
It is not in the same vein as a Leagues Club like in NSW....
I so wish we did have a Leagues Club though .....grrrrrr

Unfortunately for the most part we are clubless.
There is not a Leagues Club to meet prior or after games.
Or a leagues club to watch away games, or a place to meet
fellow supporters.

It has been a ongoing issue which I think has hurt the Storm badly.
we desperately need a Leagues Club for oh so many reasons....

Maybe one day that will happen but not in the near future.
The only thing we have is this new cafe that maybe seats 50max
prior to a game, which you have to book and priority is given to top
membership. After a game there is a "social club" which cost $90
per person or child to attend. Which so far had proven to be a massive
failure and far to $$$$ for many members, especial those with young
children..... so all in all its fairly pathetic that we are still waiting for
a place of our own......

As for the media showing  one person dropping stuff off - that was at
what was HQ - staff offices being used out of Carlton Football Clubs training
ground. All those offices I believe are now housed in the new AAMI Park
or will be shortly if not already...

Perhaps if the possible sponsorship deal with Crown Casino goes through there'll be something for us there before and after games.
