Good player? Definitely
Good person? For participating in a media and PR stunt? Not necessarily. Would he have still done it if the press decided not to follow him around?

Why so cynical?
Greg has a long history of helping in Aboriginal communities - he and JT have done many such things on their own time - It's not his fault that the media follow him like hawks in NSW and QLD ... probably why he likes the relative anonymity of Melbourne.
I would think the fact that he's doing a Cert IV in youth work shows his commitment.
