At the request of AAS, I'm pleased to announce the opening of the StormChat ActiveChat (like the name?).

Just click the link above called Chat Room - this will open up a window showing a Java Applet. You might be asked to accept a security certificate. Feel free to accept this to continue.

You will automatically be connected to the chat channel surprisingly called StormChat. You might get told that the "Nick you have entered is register / in use". To change your display name in the chat, enter "/nick newname" ignoring the quotes, and replacing newname with your temporary name.

I'm still working through some of the options - but this will allow those who cannot get to games to keep everyone up to date with games live and interactive!

Java download page is java.com and then click the Get it Now button on the right hand side.

If you use Internet Explorer - this is a result of MS trying to take-over ownership of Java and losing. It's all about politics! :D

the channels can be opened by anyone anytime and right now I'm in #StormChat. I propose for anyone who wants to chat socially go in anytime and especially in the hours preceding a Storm game for more specific conversations. As today's game is on live at 7:30 on FS1 how about we go in around 7 or so? :D
