This time from NRL on Fox Wednesday night edition.

I know the boys aren't angles when it comes to the issue of wrestling on the ground but they are hardly "the only team that does it"

The issue now is twisting of limbs by a third or fourth player coming into the tackle.
Knowing a fair bit about wrestling they were putting pressure on the most effective points from the footage shown but fair dinkum the Storm aren't the only ones doing it.

Ask Luke O'Donnell from last year.

Really there is not more disenchanting effect than having your club constantly picked on by the administering body and the NSW/QLD media organisations.

Honestly....If they are this determined to get Rugby League a Northen state sport they can fuggen keep it.

to be honest, i saw this on nrl on fox tonight and i noticed it against the roosters.
one of the reasons i love league is the contact and the big hits, but this arm twisting has no place in the game.

whether or not other teams are doing it, i don't want to see melbourne doing it. someone will get seriously hurt.
how big is my weekend going to be? again....

I saw the show and i was thoroughly disgusted.

I don't care if "other teams are doing it", WE ARE doing it.

I am finding myself being more and more disgusted by some of the "tactics" applied by the team i love, and will always love. But goodness, they make it tough to love them sometimes.

We are a good side, we don't need to resort to things like that tackle, not coming out of the change rooms, ect...

It's frustrating and pushing the boundaries of sportsmanship.

When I first heard that we were getting blamed for something again, I was pissed off, but having seen the segment last night, it does appear to be something we are doing, and this is not on.  The grapple I feel was the most overrated bullshit to be blamed on one club ever, but I haven't really noticed a lot of this 'chicken wing' tackle going on.
If we don't want to be known as a dodgy team, we need to sort it out

Next they'll be blaming us for starting the squirrel grip and then the facial.

News just in from the NRL a new edict has been launched it states that anytime a Melbourne Storm player touches another play a penalty will be give to the other team.  Melbourne has been told that they have to stand still and let the other team run around them or they will give away a penalty.  Sorry guys just looking into the future......

Try watching a replay of tonights game - Pay close attention to what the Broncos continually get away with - This is the definition of DODGY !

Funny thing about that tackle. You give a defender the arm of an opponent. No other players in the tackle. You then tell them that the only way you can get the tackle to be called "held" is if you force the ball carrier to the ground and let the ball carrying arm touch the ground or stop movement.

How can anyone do it when all they have is an arm?

No have to disagree there.  I don't think there was nothing in it.  Might get "scolded" but can't see AB missing games ....I hope  [-o<

Idouble dissagree.

There was nothing in it.

Ennis layed down. As I'm quite sure they were instructed to.
After the report went on he  played like nothing untoward happened.

I think Blair is in trouble.  Wasn't a lot in it, and the tackle would have been fine, right up until the last twisting movement he made that wasn't necessary.
I have no doubt Ennis milked it, he even did a Gallen and winked when he got the penalty, but the last twisting motion was dangerous and unnecessary!  Don't have to injure someone to be in trouble

The player who deserves a suspension from that match is Toni Carroll.

Third man into a tackle, grabs nothing but head, twists and drags down.  :angryfire:

On the other hand, wasn't it great to see the boys on fire.
Slater played all over Khunt, should be another maroon jersey in his near future.

nothing in blairs tackle last night. there was no twist, ennis milked it...he was winking at the other broncs players FFS.

The "evidence" they showed on nrl fox didnt really look good for us, but a few of them didnt look like they were delibrate, the quinn one when he pushed his forearm down and elevated the arm was the worst of em.
