Bit dissapointed,
Storm not really cosidering the regional victorians that might want to come, will use up enough 'good will' from work for all the monday/friday night games.
a weekend would have been much better for most i would imagine.
oh well can't have everything i suppose. hope eveyone enjoys it

just my opinions......critique them, don't criticise me!!!
Coupy, I agree with your sentiments. I presume the Storm are giving the players the long weekend off so some players may be heading interstate thus the Family "Day" is on the Friday evening. Not ideal for supporters but a reasonable compromise given 21 of the players plus the coaching staff will have been away from their families for a couple of weeks and the week following is the start of the NRL season.

I don't have an issue with the Friday night. There is never an ideal time, and at the end of the day, the interests of the players and staff have to come into it too. Like Surandy said, the players will prob be looking forward to a few days with family after the UK journey and the week before the season starts too.
Storming our way to glory!

Do people from regional areas ever open their mouths around city people these days except to whinge?
If it's not the water, it's the logging, or the alpine grazing, or the potholes, or the fault resolution response time from telstra, or the petrol or diesel price (despite the fact that on-farm diesel there is sold without the 38.143 cent per litre excise that everyone else pays). And now it's Fridays. The same complaint was made when the North Queensland Cowboys got scheduled for a friday night home game last year sometime.

Friday nights are the pits & don't even get me started on bloody Monday nights
Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake - WC Fields
I know, what's the big idea giving us a Monday Night game in round 1? We're the premiers for crying out loud we should be the other Friday Night one not the Titans Vs Cowboys.
She's gone! The wicked witch is gone! Oh - I like snowballing too!
