RD 22 Preview Storm v Wests Tigers
Thursday, August 3, 2006 - 11:59 AM - Source: Big League
Who’s going to stop the Storm? It doesn’t look like easing up any time soon.
Form: The Storm have won nine straight and will take plenty of stopping at home where they have won their past 14 games. The Tigers appeared to be down for the count before their shock victory over the Broncos in Brisbane.
History: The Tigers have won only four of their 12 clashes against the Storm and all four victories have been at Leichhardt Oval.
Danger sign: The return of Greg Inglis (pictured) has a double benefit for the Storm. Not only do they have his speed and class but his return provides Melbourne with a surplus of talent, which means no-one in the outside backs can afford to slip up.
Best Bet? Melbourne to win by 13+.
Money-spinner: The Storm might attack the Tigers close to the ruck where their resources are thin. In that case there is good value in Anthonio Kaufusi, Ryan Hoffman or David Kidwell to score the first try.

I think he gets it, Silkin. If I'm not mistaken, Joel was putting forward he tip: Tigers by 13+. Get it?
The bandwagon is moving along very nicely. Ticket sales for the game today are going well. The reserved seating area at the top of the Nikau stand has sold out and the other reserved seats are selling well. Let's just hope the turnstiles are working properly this week so we can get an accurate crowd figure.
The game itself should be good and I doubt there is a lack of ill-feeling between the sides as printed during the week. I'm looking forward to another great game.

Perfect for the West Tigers that took the field tonight.
Look hard n tough on the outside but are really all soft inside.

They looked buggered about 15 minutes into the first half!!
By the time the second half came around, they were so slow getting back to their line each time there was a change-over.
By the way, was that Nick Lachey (Mr Jessica Simpson) on the ground at the end of the match (red t-shirt, blue baseball cap)? And if it wasn't him, who was it chatting up all the cheerleaders and then getting a "team" photo with the boys?

So the top section of the Eastern is sold out, the bottom section near full and there was only 12,400 there? The Northern terrace looked 75% the Western about the same and the Southern around 60%.
Still not sure how they are getting these crowd figures
