....then who's you top 17 that you would take the field with. The depth of our forwards is about to become a nice headache for Craig Bellamy so if everyone is available and in form who would you like to go to "war" with.
Maybe give a brief reason why you prefer one player to another.

Noa's 1st 17.

Billy Slater - Not as good as GI but Defence will be tested any where else.

Matt Geyer
Matt King
Greg Inglis - Great fullback WILL be a great centre.
Jake Webster
Scott Hill - In form our best 5/8, suspect it might be his last year.
Cooper Cronk

Dallas Johnson
Mick Crocker
David Kidwell
Garret Crossman - Just about the most improved player in the NRL.
Cam Smith
Brett White

Ben Cross - Close call with Donnelly but would give bigger impact coming off bench.

Ryan Hoffman - Really impressed me lately only Kidwell's leadership keeps him on the bench.

Antonio Kaufusi - Got Blair breathing down his neck but his time will come next year. Slowly realising his potential

Steve Turner - Only Cam's ability to play nearly the whole game stop's this spot going to Nathan Friend who is 10x the player I thought he was. Turner has the abilty to sniff out a try which will be crucial in the play-offs.

I would pretty much agee with all that. But Billy will have to go back to full back as I dont beleive there is anouther possition that he plays better, so Ingless will have to go back to the centers. We do need to find a spot for Steve Turner, he is living up to the rep he had comming to the club, and seams to possition himself very well.
Lets make League viable in Melbourne.

Shift Hill to lock.

I don't rate him as a 5/8 - never have as most of you know. However, let him run with the ball and give him room out wide and he can be a fine player. I think it's his best position and (unlike the number 6) he has performed there well at the very highest level.

Other than that, the big argument is fullback. If Greg keeps performing as he has until Billy's return then it might pay to bring the Kid back into the centres and make him earn the spot back. Nothing wrong with players competing for prized positions.

Oh, I must say I've been pleasantly suprised with Walker. I still wouldn't pick him in my first 17, but he has impressed and I'm far less dubious about him than I was.
We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

1 Billy Slater -  Really many forget what a great player he is.
2 Steve Turner - Fits the team dynamic well.
3 Matt King -  Should be the Ozzie Centre.
4 Greg Inglis - Will be a Ozzie Centre/Wing FB and 5/8 :D.
5 Jake Webster - Easily the best Winger of the whole Tri-nations Tornament.
6 Matt Geyer - Would play on Websters wing in defence, And as an extra Centre/Hooker in attack.
7 Cooper Cronk - Absolute Star in the making
8 Garret Crossman - Form Storm Prop atm.
9 Cameron Smith Storm Player of the year so far.
10 Ben Cross - Was brought on to replace Kearns so I hope he justifies this spot soon.
11 Dave Kidwell - Was excellent in the Tri-Nations (and rnd1). I hope he brings that form to the Storm
12 Mick Crocker - Brings the devil that the team needs. (Also a playmaker)
13 Dallas Johnson - Defensive Lock who is looking for attacking options more and more.

bench
14 Antonio Kaufusi - Showing good form this year
15 Brent White - Always there thereabouts
16 Ryan Hoffman - Would like to see him succeed in a few more offensive efforts
17 Jeremy Smith\Nathan Friend

Emergancies
18 Glen Turner - Injured at a bad time of his careera.
19 Adam Blair - Great talented up and comer
20 Scott Hill - If hill is in top form again he'd push Geyer to the wing and Turn out of the side to this posi.

99 Chris Walker - meh (even though I agree with TC)

i agree with mike^^^

Slater in form is superb!!

Inglis in form is also superb.

They play differently but they are both excellent players, i think slater has earnt the fullback spot tbh he has played there many times and has played great and won us games. On the other hand he does need to fix some things like defence and urgency which IMO seems to be lacking over the past year.

To tell you the truth tho i dont care where slater or inglis plays...aslong as they are in the team and get the ball in hand im happy!
