So who missed the other attempt at goal? Witty(?) got 3 from 3 attempts and Manly scored 8 tries. The results I've seen show Orford 2 from 5.

Even allowing for that it's comforting to see..............
That 'the usual suspects' are starting the season solidly
That the halves pairing will work effectively
That the defence ethic is strong
That 'team' Storm is alive & well

Damn having to wait till Easter to see it up close  :(

what game were you watching? Witt was in PL, Williamson was kicking. I was got my 2/4 from a Manly forum and it might have been Cherry.

Ah, if only I could have been watching the Storm trial, or any game for that matter, this weekend.

Brisbane's worst loss ever?

Last year during the season we put 50 on them to their 4.

I'm not sure results for trials in previous years but the last time we scored more than 58 during the season was in 2001 against Wests Tigers.

And they only got that 4 because Slater more or less handed Lockyer the ball.  It's a dig at the Broncos not our wonderful Mr. Slater.

Funny how the bloody northerners discount our trial wins by saying that the Eels and Broncos weren't fielding full strength sides.

Do they even know most of our forwards and bench players? Most Storm supporters wouldn't know half of our forwards for 2006.

We were and still are being written off for the premiership because we've lost Orford, Bell and Kearns. I think the trials have shown that those losses are no great loss. As for Kearns, we still have him, just in a different capacity, the other forwards sound like they have matured and stepped up to take his place. Orford and Bell were easy to lose because we already had ready made replacements for them.
