Sucked in Orford, not consistent enough for Origin, not worth half a milllion bucks.

That's the spirit Thunderstruck!
Reading the Telegraph yesterday and today, they were saying that scumbag should be selected for the squad. Not only is he still friggin' injured, he was oathetic when he wasn't injured.

Kings in with a chance but Hill dosnt have a hope unless Timmins, Kennedy, Waterhouse and Barret, Gower get injured.
Cos Timmins, Kennedy, Waterhouse will be the 1st 2nd and 3rd choice Locks, and Barret will be the 1st choice 5/8
and then Gower then Hill.

Laurie Daley has insisted on a large number of overrated St George hacks (Creagh? please ) but they have left Timmins out so onethinks Hill has a better chance than at least he does.simo wrote:Kings in with a chance but Hill dosnt have a hope unless Timmins, Kennedy, Waterhouse and Barret, Gower get injured.

I must admit I like your thoughts on Anasta though - Gower before him at 5/8 hahahaha, that would just be more proof the position of 5/8th is dead! You weren't a selector in a past life were you?

the way barrettt is playing, scott hill has no chance except at lock. what i don't understand is how michael hagan is surprised johns isn't in the extended squad. i'm not sure he's qualified to assess the nsw team selections, especially on the johns issue. sure the guy captained the country before and he used too just walk in but he's only had what, four games all year including the trials and he showed nothing thtat warranted selection
or maybe he wants johns in there so he can pick the nsw team apart a lot more easily knowing how crap he is going

I am a fan of Johns, but if he got back into origin this year, QLD would win by 30+ each game!!
Come to think of it, put him in. GO YOU MAROONS!!

From what was wrotten in today's telegraph, Matt King is fighting it out with Luke Lewis for the final wing spot, with Cooper and Gasnier apparently assured the centre pairing. Hill is not at all expected to make the final 17. They don't even rate him a slight chance at the moment based on what Ricky Stuart has said. Apparently 8 players are fighting out 3 spots (King and Lewis being 2 of those 8, with 2 bench spots available)
Of course, injuries can dramatically change the team over just 1 weekend.

The Panthers players seem to be selector favourites, so expect Lewis to get the nod over King, even though Lewis makes far more errors than King... and what the hell has Cooper done to be an almost certainty for NSW - I have seen most Dragons games this year, and he certainly hasn't stood out for me!
Fool Gould's commentary is just laughable though - he raves on about how classy Cooper and Gasnier are when they just run around the non-existent Souths defense ("you can't coach that..."), but when Colin Best did the exact same thing, there was no praise for him - it was just very poor Souths defense... typical biased commentary from the know-it-all channel 9 crew...

I think he would do fine too. He knows what his doing and is made for origin.simo wrote:Johns was looking pretty sharp in his last couple of games, if he was put back into origin I reckon he would be pretty awesome.
