Melbourne prop Jamie McDonald yesterday became the first player to a face a judiciary over an alleged grapple tackle.
McDonald, who appeared before the Queensland Rugby League judiciary, was charged with grade two contrary conduct over an incident while playing for the Storm's Brisbane Norths feeder club against Wynnum last weekend. He pleaded not guilty and was exonerated after a 45-minute hearing before the tribunal panel of Keith Weinert, Peter Beard and David Blair.
