First he targets Storm for slow play the ball, yet the Raiders were doing the same all game.

He doesn't mention to two lifts by the Raiders early in the first half, or mention Trayon Smith lashing out with his feet and kicking Turner.

Then coz his old team is only on the board due to penalities he brings out the 'crapple' shit again targeting Slater.

He would have to be the most unprofessional (after Fatty) commentator calling our game.

Is it just me or do others think the same?

It click just after Clinton went off, he said it to try and pump up Clinton for SoO over Slater.

Considering there are currently 3 full backs all on fire who can all play for Queensland (well, two now) it makes sense to try and get another media beat up on this very old story.

we had some people over who are AFL mad and they even commented how unprofessional he sounded.

They hate Eddie, but said he was a saint compared to Daley.

I think you're being a bit harsh on Laurie Daley. I watch most of the Foxsports NRL coverage and midweek shows and I think he's generally pretty balanced in his opinions. He's always pretty complimentary of the Storm as a football team but does "dig the boots in" every now and then about how Melbourne isn't working as a rugby league location (but then again, which Sydney commentator doesn't?).

In terms of commentators, I'm more annoyed by the likes of Freeman, Pearce & Gould.

Loved him as a player and when he tipped us I though He might be an unbiased commentator.....

the Slater grapple comment was outrageous and idiotic...... I'll leave it at that

You seem to forget one P. Gould!
He is just as unprofessional as Daley when commentating and probably more so than Fatty. Did anyone hear his comments last week about Slater's try in Origin last year? Not that I heard them myself (I couldn't bring myself to watch the replay) but I'm going by stories I heard about how bad he was.

I agree, Laurie Daley isn't half as bad as Phil "Easts are the best" Gould.
I personally think Laurie Daley isn't that bad. OK, so he showed some favouritism to Canberra. But you'd have to expect that, after he played with the club for over a decade.
Generally though, I find what he has to say in the box, accurate, constructive and proffesional.

One thing that has to be considered when quoting any stats or penalty count is where and when they happen.

5 of those penalities for the Raiders where inside the 20 when attacking. This puts more workload on a teams defence (ours) and as we have seen last year, cost us three games.

Archer did everything he could to keep them in the game and yet again he failed.
