The American Pie song is called The Saga Begins and is a parody of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Weird Al is fantastic ... he does one of the best Christmas songs ever, a parody of Emimen's Slim Shady:
Will the real Slim Santa please stand up? Errr we're gunna have a problem here ...

Having just read this thread (found some spare time) I wasn't gonna do this but.... arhh what the heck...

1/ Some people are never bloody happy with the way our team play. 50-4 against the Broncos is just not good enough is it??? FFS!! People think we should be scoring tries every minute of the game... Go watch basketball if you want that sort of scoring rate.

2/ The National Anthem is meant to be a sacred type song. Its like the flag, don't mess with it!!! We couldn't sing along with the way Random f*cked it up. If they wanna interpret songs differently then do it but leave the National Anthem alone geez...

Rant over...

Oh Bunnies... that is a fantastic pic of you ROFL... And Stormboy... yes, what ARE you doing with your hand on Coopers shoulder, do tell?

I agree that the anthem should not be messed with - it's our bloody national anthem for crap sake!!!
How are we supposed to instill pride in our coutry to our kids if they don't even know how to sing the anthem properly. (altho where exactly are Random all from?)
My kids were bloody confused with that rendition.
Anyway, shit happens & this board is the best place to see it all  :D :D :D
When I want your opinion - I'll give it to you!

Since when did you become a moderator?

I believe certain topics were brought up in this thread and are therefore being answered in this thread. They're all in relation to the Storm v Broncos game and only a touch off topic...

Oh and Kingy... that new year rendition was an absolute embarrassment. I'm glad i've never heard it again.

I like the techno version of Thunderstruck that was played after We Are The Storm as the players were doing their lap of honour.

Storm are the only team in the NRL to score more points v the Broncos than against.

That's been around for awhile now Surandy. Even made it on to the radio last year (or the year before). Blizzard Bros - Thunderstruck. PM me if you want a copy!

Everytime it is sung it is messed with Tigger, we all should be singing (well I do) God save the Queen)

I agree, the people around us had confused looks on there face and it was flat.

The best I have ever heard at a storm game was Anzac Day 1999 sung by Rick Price. It fitted the mood of the day and even for me gave me goosebumps.

Oops, just saw M.T.U. post, oh well

Yeah I know, when we were playing the Saturday 3pm games every week in 2002 I heard it on the way to every home game on Nova FM at around 2pm. I'm not sure why they played it at that time as there was no mention of the Storm at all just that song.
