Photos of the banner from the game is available at the photo album.
It was the first home game that felt like a Storm home game. National anthem was sung, banner was shown both sides, the graveyard lived up to its name and social club was at Vodafone, albeit on the opposite side. Swan street half of the GA Western stand, shame on you for not cheering enough (or maybe it was full of Broncos supporters, I did see plenty? )

We were easily out numbered on the train coming in to the game.

Me, that's who. What attrocious kicking by our goalkickers. And what's the go with Billy? Does he think it's Origin time already passing the ball to Queenslanders like that?KINGY wrote:if cam and ox had got their kicks would have been 60-4...but whos complaining?
Okay, so we are the first team ever in 18 seasons to score 50 on them, and handed them their largest ever defeat, maybe I'll quit my complaining...for now.
Glory, Glory to South Sydney!

I was disapointed that for 14 minutes in the middle of the match we stopped.
Oops, sorry forgot they call that Half Time now
For the first time this season we played 80 minutes and a great result. Talk was that during warm up the players had set a goal of 60 points. Now if we could only find a kicker
A little concern at Websters performance in parts, but he's still young and getting there.
roll on next friday night and the following Saturday

They will reach perfection when they score off every single play, they drive the opposition back on every single tackle, and they slaughter their opponents by the hundreds(well, maybe just 100-odd points. 200-odd points may a bit TOO much to ask for. Until then, there is always room for improvement.

And don't forget that We Are The Storm was played after that great game.Thunderstruck wrote:It was the first home game that felt like a Storm home game. For those criticising the goal kicking performance, it was quite blustery out there last night.

I'm note exactly critisizing it, I just like to find something that could possibly be improved upon for the next game.
One of those things I should have mentioned would have to be Billy Slater's kicks! He waited till he was hald a metre in front of his opponent before trying it again! And when he tried it against Manly it was the totally wrong time to do it yet you could see him lining up and started screaming "HOLD IT". I seriously think Bellamy needs to tell him there are times and places for that, and while it looks spectacular, don't try it on every single linebreak you make.

There are always areas for improvements, that's the beauty of professional football. The week after games like this is when Craig Bellamy really earns his money, not like last week when the players know they didn't perform and had to improve.

Luke here, we got home around an hour ago.
I have to say its one of the best games I've been to, the grand final will always be no.1 for me.
I was way impressed and shocked on how hard we kicked broncos arses sat night. it was great to have
Nikau back and cannot forget Rusty.
heres some shots:
-I finally get a photo with the man
-separated from each other for too long, we had a drink.
-and messed my hair
-what am I doing with my hand.
-UNCLE! and his not smiling, hes pissing himself laughing with me at Mother for thinking she knows what shes doing.
-this man be back for panthers or else.
-Mother told me not to.. NA NA.
UP THE STORM, SEE YOU AT PANTHERS.

Go the Mighty Melbourne Storm and the Mighty South Sydney Rabbitohs!!
Stormboy had better have his running shoes on when he finally wakes up, because Mother is going to get him big time!!
We had an absolute ball in Melbourne, but we always do, but even more special with the fantastic win, catching up with T and Rusty and partying until 3am with Damo etc in Richmond and the Casino!
Is it only me?? or did you get the impression that Lazzo really wasn't fussed about being there? T lapped it and just wanted to say hello to everyone, Lazzo wanted the formalities over at the social club and really wanted to find the exit!
We will be loud and seen and heard at Panthers this coming Friday night, we have the front row of section 1 , Eastern stand and intend on being noticed, for all those who are travelling up, really look forward to catching up again and for those who cannot make it, Penrith supporters and their team will know we are at the ground!
Bring it on boys, we are so proud of you and it sure does feel like something really special is going to happen on that first Sunday in October 2005, 1999??
Cheers
