Watch him he literally refuses to use his arm he broke in pre season, won’t hold the ball with it, won’t fend and won’t even get up using that arm to hold/play the ball, if he wants to play with one arm the rest of his career he is done, Olam of old would have created a few tries with all the early ball and space he has had tonight, he is definitely not right, both him and Leiero must be on borrowed time, when is enough enough?
Leading at half time despite the poor performance. Defence has been our saviour, and then capitalised on two of our only three opportunities.
Meany could have tried harder to stop the Manly try.
Interesting that the player barking directions at stoppages is King. Love Christian, but he's not Captain material.

We must all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately

Been impressed with Warbrick and Coates, far and away our best players and the only real threats so far, need to kick it up a notch in the second half we were definitely out-enthused particularly early in the half, we always seem to be so flat early on, I know we back our fitness and grind teams into the ground but sometimes you need to play some footy and really have a go, Manly were up early and we didn’t want to match their energy.

Anyone reckon Warbrick has the tools and build to play centre for us? I think he could be very good there.

Not a bad result considering the way we started (again)... we'll be in pretty good shape IF we ever put it together fully with all on deck.
Impressed with Coates and Warbrick tonight, NAS was good, the bench players all did well. Sims was back to just ordinary this week - had hoped he turned a corner after last week.

Potentially, if paps comes back, meany has to go somewhere. So meany wing, warbrick centre, remis or olam gets a tap on the shoulder.Papenhuyzen23 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 9:32 pm Anyone reckon Warbrick has the tools and build to play centre for us? I think he could be very good there.

Solid win after an iffy start.
Coates has taken some stick but tonight he was terrific. MoM for me. His chase back in the last minute was a great effort.
Pezet some nice moments and Hughes led the team around the park well…

I just replayed his last couple of minutes on the field. He did look a bit stiff-legged, and yet he made a good run and had one other involvement and there was no impact injury in that time. So hopefully nothing more than maybe a slight cramp, and came off to give Wishart a run.
A real shame for Pene. He has done well to get back in, and after a terrible decision to penalise him in attack, he then copped a nasty rolled ankle.
Overall a solid win - I will take 24-6 absolutely.
