We all know that Smith is a better hooker than Buderus, and that the selectors like to pick Buderus on a wrongful reputation that he has, but have just read that he will be out for another 6 weeks and won't return until round 9. Meaning he will be missing the Anzac test. He was scheduled back in 4 weeks - which would have more than likely had him playing hooker for Australia without even playing a game in the season. Now that that won't be happening, Cam has the perfect opportunity to show what a real world class hooker is like against the Kiwi's in the ANZAC test. I can't think of anyone else that would come into consideration unless they decide to go with Craig Wing for some reason - mainly they like to pick the popular Sydney clubs players.
I sure hope that Cam finally gets the opportunity that he deserves.

I would certainly like to see Cam there, but don't discount Luke Priddis. He has been awesome the last two years, and has started this year in great form too in a losing team
Storming our way to glory!

Cameron Smith IS the second best hooker in the game and with Buderus out he has too be there.
IMO Priddis is getting past it a bit, and is too indicsiplined. Next time you watch a Panthers game have a look at how many penalties he gives away.
But the only thing left to side step is the fact that Craig Wing will probably be undeservadly thrown into hooker.

They like to pick Roosters, St George and Newcastle players you meanLord Reynoldson wrote:- mainly they like to pick the popular Sydney clubs players.
When it comes to rep teams, excluding those coach by Wayne Bennett, the selectors believe in the
Newcastle, St George and
Roosters
League
The Aussie team with Bennett as coach will no doubt go for more Queenslanders and therefore Smith should make his Aussie debut

I dont see at all why he wouldnt be starting hooker if Budhead is out.
Cam and Orford should be certainties.
Scott Hill should get a go only if Lockyer is unavailable (but should be a chanse for SOO with the OX)
Slater would be in the mix as well considering his current form.

Yes, Smith should be picked. Craig Wing may also play that role too, but I think he's injured. I hope he makes his debut for Australia as he certainly deserves it. Good on ya Smith!

Wing will get it before Smith unfortunetly (I hope I'm so wrong).
Wing has National Rep experince and the selectors from NSW always seem to get their way.
I would like to think after this weekend that at least 5 of our players will be mooted for the test.

I expect Dallas Johnson to be wearing jersey 14 for the Kangaroos by the end of the month.

Hey don't dis Callum! Give him a chance, he has only played 3 games and if his junior days are much to go by he will go alright.
I'm not sure Johnson could handle a cross code switch ... in fact like Richard Hinds two weeks ago the only NRL player I'd want in any AFL side would be birthday boy Hazem!
