Love the stats.

Just hope the boys are switched on early, there's been a few games this season where its taken 15-20 to get into it. We can't afford that in finals.

Christian Welch has pleaded No Contest to the Dangerous Contact charge and will miss a week.

This means he has no carry-over points as we head into the last couple of games before Finals. A strategic move and probably the right call from a risk perspective.

Yeah, probably a smart move - he looked like he could've done with a week off anyway after getting pretty banged up.

Yeah agree with that too, re Welch. A week off might help him freshen up a bit before finals too.

Very smart move. I did not even know could do that. I thought he would have to go through the charade of fighting the charge. This saves everyone’s time.

We've been way smarter with how we've dealt with charges this season imo.

No Contest is the same result as fighting the charge and losing.

For Jesse's case earlier this year, we appeared to have a solid case and challenging was the right call (despite incompetence of the overall system).

I think in this case for Welch, I assume the club feels lucky to just have received a Dangerous Contact charge and won't fight that. If he was a reasonable chance of getting off, you would fight it because the result is the same. Very likely that it is just not worth the time/cost/resources in this case.

or maybe I’m reading too much into videos and photos lately ...who knows

If we're going to give him a chance it'll be in the next week or two so maybe

Storm took the no contest to reduce the number of HIAs this week.

Welch wad involved in both Jesse and Darryn's HIAs.

Team List Tuesday! Keen to see the list this week and each week as we head towards Finals to see who may be coming back from injury.

I assume Leutele gets named in the 21 this week (and may jag a bench spot). Hoping Tui isn't far away either.
