Round 15
Parramatta Eels v Melbourne Storm
Thursday August 20 at Bankwest Stadium at 7:50pm

I thought with our injuries it might be worth estimating what our 21 man squad will look like when it is named on Tuesday.

1. Ryan Papenhuyzen
2. Sandor Earl
3. Brenko Lee
4. Justin Olam
5. Josh Addo-Carr
6. Nicho Hynes
7. Ryley Jacks
8. Jesse Bromwich
9. Brandon Smith
10. Christian Welch
11. Felise Kaufusi
12. Kenneath Bromwich
13. Dale Finucane

14. Cooper Johns
15. Tino Faasuamaleaui
16. Tom Eisenhuth
17. Nelson Asofa-Solomona

18. Albert Vete
19. Chris Lewis
20. Isaac Lumelume
21. Aaron Booth

Given Brandon has an injury concern our only other hooker must be named in 21. Unless Craig plans for Nicho, Cooper, Tom, Kenny or Chris Lewis to play at hooker if Brandon doesn't make kick off. If Booth is not named would expect Darryn Schonig to get last spot on bench.

Bellamy said Cooper Johns is likely to fill in for Hughes should he not be available.

Pole I think Bellamy's selection is usually conservative so think he may pick Hynes to start and ease Johns into it.

Other than the 22 (including Schonig above) the other available players we have, particularly in the backs are all very young and inexperienced.
The following are all 20 or under Daniel Atkinson (halfback), Dean Ieremia (wing) and Jack Bowyer (wing).

In the forwards Judda Turahui, Kelma Tuilagi and Trent Loiero are in the same boat and Aaron Pene is 23.

I hope we get some of injured contingent back soon.

Considering that the development squads got cut down when teams went into covid bubbles, I don't know how many of those guys are there at the moment.

Anyone know when Leutele becomes available? Surely he's in the frame with Lee moving to the wing.

Leutele is a few weeks away. Because of the lack of flights and exorbitant price gouging of those that are running, he only flew out here this week. I think Tuesday or Wednesday he got on the plane. Like the roosters with sbw, he will likely come out of quarantine and undergo a few weeks of training.

RIP to Sandor if he's marking up against Sivo next week.

That is a fair point Mattpoet.

Maybe our resident expert can tell us who's there. Sallymay?

Scooter - I reckon your 1-17 list is spot on.

If Brandon is out I reckon he will try Chris Lewis at hooker. I think he had some minutes there against the Knights . Good defender, which Craig will like.

Barring a string of injuries to Parra tonight, we will likely be outsiders for this one... but we were last night too.

The 10 day break after the Eels game will be very welcome.

Can Branko play at 2, Eisenhuth at 3 and Earl at Left Right Out?

Otherwise, I like the look of your team

Bullucked that is another option. Although given the injuries we have it wouldn't be a bad thing for an extra player to get some more game time.
