They replaced Cronk and Latrell with a rookie and old man Josh Morris. SBW isn't anything more than a name now. What's the issue here?

My issue is with the NRL saying they'll help. Shouldn't get involved. Let them do their own negotiations like everyone else.

Also, the Salary Cap rules are clear that the NRL will not allow clubs to register contracts that are well below market value. It is therefore farcical that the NRL will allow the Roosters to contract SBW for $150K.

Even if he is only playing 10-12 games, you don't think numerous other clubs would offer double, or even triple that? How do they justify "market value" in that case?

They are bending numerous Salary Cap laws to get this deal done, putting aside the Roosters actual cap position.

Not the point here but how insane is this rule in the first place?

Storm tried to sign Toronto Wolfpack centre Ricky Leutele but only have $35,000 left in salary cap. Leutele was happy with that.

NRL have blocked signing because they have valued Leutele at $60,000 for the rest of the season.

BREAKING: NRL has backed down and will now allow Ricky Leutele to sign at Melbourne Storm for the remainder of the season. Great news.

Other outlets also confirming Leutele has been allowed to sign with us. Interesting comments from other club supporters , pointing out the double standards which had seen the NRL blocking it. Looks like someone at NRL realised they were on a big loser here.
