We're all geniuses in hindsight but was sending him out on rep duty really the best thing for him? Hopefully that injury recurrence isn't too severe.

He's an incredibly important player now with Will gone.

Not looking good for old mate after his Australia Day antics.

Punched and kicked a cop in the face before being tasered and arrested. Has been charged with 5 offences and will face court on Feb 20th.

Assuming he is found guilty of the two charges of assault on a police officer, I expect he is looking at a lengthy ban.

That Raiders culture :-\

No we know there was most likely more to the story of why Storm let him go. Storm have a no d...head policy so he was having more trouble than we were told. Just like Mitchell and the Rosters there is more to most of these early release stories

Melbourne was probably the best place for Curtis. The Sydney bubble is not going to help him at all.

Lol.....Absolutely....but Scott was just quoted as saying he went to Canberra to keep away from disruptive outside influences in Sydney

Am I the only one that thinks that allegedly assaulting a Police Officer (if that's what occurred)...is actually a pretty significant offence.

Reading FB comments...people are suggesting that Scott's alleged assault of a Police officer is less serious than Wighton's assault of members of the public.

I see it the other way round.

Scott could be in serious trouble.

He is in serious trouble... Pending exactly what Curtis has been charged with under Sect 60 of the Crimes Act, assaulting a police officer in the execution of their duty has a maximum penalty of 5-14 years imprisonment.

Assuming he hasn't been charged with the most serious case, he probably won't meet the cut-off for the NRL applying the No-Fault Stand Down policy.

Yep...that's serious.

These matters rarely get to that level of seriousness...but it would be surprising if he wasn't suspended for at least 10 - 12 weeks for bringing the game into disrepute.

Curtis Scott returns to training as NRL investigates Aus Day taser arrest

"Scott joined the Green Machine before Christmas on a four-year deal, with the Melbourne Storm chipping in $200,000 for this season and next season."

I know its Hooper and we shouldn't believe a word that comes out of this losers mouth...but if Storm have subsidized Scott's move, they were obviously REALLY keen to move him on.

Surely not...

I think a lot of these 'reporters' post stuff about salaries etc that are complete heresay based on what one of their 'contacts' inside the club have let on.

Raiders couldn’t contact Curtis Scott after he allegedly threw his phone at a car
January 29, 2020
FOX SPORTS

Canberra bosses were unable to contact Curtis Scott following his arrest in Sydney because he allegedly threw his mobile phone at a passing car earlier in the night.

The Sydney Morning Herald reports Scott lost or broke his phone when throwing it at the car “just hours” before he was tasered and arrested by police in Moore Park.

As reported by foxsports.com.au the 22-year-old recruit is to return to Raiders HQ for training on Wednesday morning.

Raiders chief Don Furner and coach Ricky Stuart had not spoken to their prized 2020 signing as of Tuesday afternoon, but will sit down with him face to face.

Scott is facing six separate charges, including two of assaulting a police officer during his arrest.

He will face court on February 20.

“It’s a very disappointing way to start your career at a new club - very disappointing,’’ Furner told the Herald.

“Curtis has no phone and is on his way back to Canberra, but we have been speaking with his lawyer. We’ll catch up with him first thing Wednesday when the players are due back for training.”

A nervous month ahead for Scott as he trains whilst out on bail.

Depending what happens when he goes back to court on Feb 20th, if he enters a guilty plea, the NRL may issue a sanctions soon after. I assume his lawyers will spend the next few weeks trying to get the assult charges dropped in exchange for a guilty plea to lesser charges.

So far NAS is the only one to be punished for anything :-\

The Fafita incident is really puzzling to me. It seems to be quite similar to NAS except he is charged with an offence. I guess the NRL thinks that NAS' incident was a bigger hit to the game's reputation because it was captured on video. That's the only reason I can fathom for such discrepancy between the punishments they received. Doesn't send much of a message to players: 'You can be a buffoon out in public, just make sure you don't get caught on video'.
